THANQ — Local services in Town of Ramapo

The service here... I wouldn't even call it service. There was a blonde old lady at the register. While there was a long line of people waiting, she left the register to go help a customer and show her around. It was 15 minutes before closing, and people were fidgeting. When she finally came back to the register, only because her cell phone rang and we all had to listen to her conversation on the phone, she asked my wife what she came for. She had come to return a gift with a gift receipt. According to store policy of 2 weeks return, she was still fine being that it was only 10 days. She looked at the receipt and threw it back to my wifes face saying:"are you silly? Do you think I would take it back when it was bought a few months ago??!" Other customers stood shell shocked at the rude behavior of the sales lady. One person even left the store from disgust. When my wife showed her the date of the receipt, she didn't even apologize. She kept saying that it's not coming up on the system and it can't be returned. When my wife told her that she doesnt know what the problem is, but came especially to main street to return this, she said too bad for you. You can come back tomorrow when the boss is here. Before my wife left, she told the sales lady calmly that she would appreciate not being treated rudely. She yelled after her like a maniac that my wife nearly started crying from being shamed publicly for DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG!! It's a disgrace for a Jewish store to treat customers like this. Honestly, I don't think I would ever step foot in this store again. Especially that you can find the same exact things for better prices just down the road at mimis linen. Honestly, It's not about my wife right now. She got over it. But STOP letting your salespeople be such a disgrace to our community and losing valued customers on the way. Unfortunately, I've heard from others about the terrible service here, but now I got to experience it myself. People buy gifts for a pleasant experience. Visiting thankq is anything but.
