Read moreMany thanks to Israel who has excellent management, knows everything about his restaurant and gives the best customer service. All the food is so well made, very fresh, made to order, and delicious and unique. I can also tell that there's a huge amount of care the owner has for his restaurant, evident in everything from the menu, the decor, the bright and well placed lighting, and the relaxed ambience, to the efficiency and great service. The menu is full of unique dishes with uncommon combos of ingredients that surprisingly go very well together. Lots of pineapple and halva, together with the music, create a wonderful Israeli vibe. My dad had the tuna panini, salmon schwarma and limonana, I had the Harissa Panini (zaatar and egg), Super fresh Juice, and caramel cheesecake round, and we shared the mushroom pasta. I love this place! Second time here - last time just a coffee. I've definitely got...
Read moreMy friends and I went here on a weekday afternoon because it was part of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. To start, there was no restaurant week menu. The prices of everything were astronomical (and I live in NYC, as a reference), and the food was not even good enough to warrant high prices - I ordered the soup of the day which was incredibly salty. The portions were also very small. Our food was served to us sporadically, and the waiter basically threw the plates on the table when they arrived. One of our party members did not even get their food until the other two of us had already finished. The waitstaff was incredibly inattentive, especially considering there were only a few other patrons in the restaurant; we weren’t even given water until we were finished eating. Of note, my party was all femmes of color. We left a low tip for this horrendous service, and a couple days later, I saw they tried to add more tip to my bill!! I am disputing this charge immediately, and I will be deterring anyone who tells me they want to try this...
