Review of RSVP Restaurant
I recently celebrated my wife's birthday at RSVP, and the entire experience was nothing short of phenomenal. RSVP offers a variety of seating optionsâfrom regular tables to an amazing bar and luxurious cabanas. We chose to sit in a cabana, which has a minimum spend of $500. If you donât reach that amount, theyâll give you the difference on a gift card, which is a nice perk!
Ambiance and Special Touches I called ahead to see if they could do something special for my wifeâs birthday, and they really went all out. They decorated the table with a beautiful bouquet of roses and scattered rose petals across it. Even though it was a Sunday, and the florist was closed, the staff went to another florist to make it perfect. That attention to detail made us feel so special.
Service Despite a huge party of 300 people happening that night, we were seated right away. The timing was impeccableâwhen I requested a 20-minute wait before the main course, thatâs exactly when it arrived. The staff was attentive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about our experience.
Food and Drinks Now for the foodâevery dish was cooked to perfection. I started with the Caribbean cocktail, which was one of the best cocktails Iâve ever had. We also tried the cold dates; they were immaculate. The buffalo chicken was crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside, and the lamb chops were out of this world. Finally, the RSVP steak, bone-in, was amazing. Every bite was packed with flavor and showed the chef's skill.
Final Thoughts From the beautiful setup to the flawless service and incredible food, RSVP made this birthday celebration unforgettable. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a...
Read moreSo, I decided to check out RSVP Steakhouse, and let me tell you, the place is a visual feast. The ambiance is top-notch, probably the most elegant steakhouse I've ever seen.
The service, not too shabby either, but here's where it gets interesting. I asked the waiter about sweetbreads. And surprise, surprise â he had no clue what I was talking about. According to him, the only bread he knew about is the one they greet you with when you sit down. A little disconnect there, but hey, I could overlook it if the food made up for it.
Now, let's talk steak (picture of my steak attached) â ordered it medium, got it practically still mooing. I'm no Gordon Ramsay, but I'm pretty sure my steak shouldn't look like it just auditioned for a role in a horror movie. Picture this: the steak's so raw, I half expected it to moo when I cut into it. Kudos to the owner, though â he had to refund us for unleashing that culinary crime on our taste buds.
And the beef carpaccio? It had the texture of a forgotten newspaper and enough spice to make a person rethink its choices.
The skirt steak, bless its heart, liked like someone in the kitchen went overboard with the black pepper.
We tried talking to the owner about these food fiascos, and oh boy, did I get a show. Attitude served with a side of mystery excuses. Apparently, the place is a newbie in town, but newsflash â the owner has other steakhouses that don't make you question your life choices.
In a nutshell, RSVP Steakhouse, you get a solid 2 out of 10. It's like they're still figuring out how not to turn a steak into a boomerang.
There are some serious kitchen kinks that need ironing out before I'd consider a...
Read more"I recently had the pleasure of dining at RSVP new York and was blown away by the exceptional culinary experience that awaited me. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere drew me in. The decor was elegant and stylish, setting the tone for a special night out.
The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive servers who knew the menu inside and out. Our server, (I don't remember his name,) made expert recommendations and made sure our glasses were always full.
But the real star of the show was the food! Oh, the food! I ordered the steak , and it was truly a work of art. The flavors were bold and harmonious, with each bite more delightful than the last. The presentation was stunning, and the portion size was generous to say the least.
I also tried a few bites of my companion's sushi and fries, and it was equally impressive. We paired our meals with a bottle of RSVP wine, which complemented our dishes perfectly.
The pacing of the meal was spot-on, allowing us to savor each course without feeling rushed. And the prices? Extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received.
In short, RSVP New York exceeded my expectations in every way. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their creative menu. If you're a foodie or just looking for a special night out, do yourself a favor and book a table here. Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten stars...
