Robb's Topp Doggs — Local services in Town of Rotterdam

I kept seeing this restaurant pop up on Facebook, so I decided to give it a try. We ordered chili cheese dogs and some French fries. Overall, the flavor was solid, but the hot dog itself was much too small and skinny. I mostly tasted the bun, and my nephew felt the same way.

I’d give the chili cheese dog a 6 out of 10. If the hot dog were about twice the size or weight, I’d bump that rating up to an 8. That said, I’ll definitely give this place another shot in the future and report back, especially since they just moved into this location in the mall.

edit: I saw the owner posted my review on Facebook and called it slander. Just to clarify, slander is false and harmful speech, and what I shared was my honest experience. Even the owner admitted in his own post that they had to switch to smaller hotdogs, which is exactly what I pointed out.

We traveled quite a distance to visit an empty, decaying mall just to give his food a try. That alone should show I was rooting for his business, not trying to ruin it. I gave constructive feedback and even said I’d return, but after being called out publicly for an honest review, I’ve changed my mind. Been chasing this guy around since he started his food truck. It wasn't until he finally opened up a shop that we were able to catch him. Needless to say it was worth the wait. I brought the family so we could all try it. Ended up spending almost $200 in total but would much rather do that at a family owned business over somewhere like McD's.

I ordered a couple of chili dogs, a bacon burger and a grilled ham and cheese. The dogs were decent. Meat sauce could've been better. Burgers were phenomenal all the way around. Perfect crisp on everything from the bun, to the burger and bacon. Excellent flavor too. The ham and cheese was also excellent but the only thing I will say is it had some sort of Aioli on it. I had seen advertisement for this place in Facebook and found myself in the area on this day. I was greeted by Rob as soon as I walked up and explained that it was my first time there. I then asked what he suggested or what was popular that people order. He mentioned the garbage plate would good as it has a few items from his menu in one plate so I said ok. All in all the dogg had a great snap to it and the burger patty w/cheese was very good. The fries with meat sauce are way better than those you get from Mickey D's or BK. The Mac salad was your average Mac salad and served as a break up from The other items on the plate. I chased it down with a bottle of water and what satisfied with the meal. I will be back to try...
