Update:
This time I went there for a gel manicure. I must say I had a great experience with their facials but it's the total opposite for nails. The nail tech was nice and friendly but if I pay for a service I look for the best quality output, I don't care how friendly they are if they don't provide a good quality service. She literally cut off my skin and I was in so much pain and agony (pictures posted). I was in so much in pain I said ouch and said it hurts but she kept cutting off my cuticles (my skin rather) which hurt me A LOT! Then I started bleeding all over! She then asked me if it hurts and I said yes!!! She tried to stop the bleeding but it was SO PAINFUL ! She said my hands are dry. Yes they're dry but they're supposed to soak my nails and I did not see how they followed the basic steps of a manicure which led to bleeding nails. I couldn't do my daily activities like cooking or bathing my babies bcz every time I run my hands through water or run my hands through my hair I was in so much pain. I had long nails and I expected that she would cut the nails but she buffed them down which I was fine with. I had to point out several times , can you make this nail shorter, that nail shorter, can you make the nails smoother and what not which she listened and did. Yet, the nail edges were way too sharp that I had to come home and buff the edges myself. The gelish nail polish they use is great. It's a great product. The manicure experience was horrible! Look at the pictures to see the wounded fingers.
Nicolette was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and had a very pleasing personality. Loved my visit today. This was my first time at MAIA salon and I wanted to give the salon a try. Nicole gave me a very good first impression of the salon. She was very gentle during the facial and recommended coming back in a month. This was my first postpartum facial after not having any facials for the past 10 months. I had a great experience and...
Read moreI was so nervous because I havenât had a real haircut in almost 5 years. I once had a really bad experience where someone cut off way more than I had wanted. Since then I have been very cautious about who I let touch my hair. I had booked my appointment on the phone with Christine, letting her know all my concerns. She was as nice as she could have possibly been and assured me that she would put me with a really great girl, Debbie, who is used to working on girls with longer hair. From the start, as soon as I had walked in the door, all of the girls were so welcoming to me. They all greeted me so politely, making me feel as if I were their family. Marina washed my hair and was so sweet and so passionate about her job. She was so great. Debbie then came to cut my hair and was very attentive to everything that I had to say and how I wanted to keep it as close to its current length as possible. It ended up turning out amazing! I really love it, looks so healthy and curly now. Afterward, Debbie had even given me so many tips on what I should and shouldnât be doing with my hair. To top off my day at the spa, Christine, the absolute sweetest one of them all, came to introduce herself in person and gave me a big hug. She was so kind, she clearly knows what she is doing at that spa! I would highly recommend Maia to anyone, they will...
Read moreLocated right off the 347, stand alone establishment with a large parking area. Went for a facial and massage, made reservations previously online. Came on a Saturday mid day, warm welcome, they took our coats and guided us downstairs to the spa area. You walk in to a full service hair salon. The downstairs is focused on the spa only. They have resting areas, play relaxing music, and the entire staff was pleasant to interact with. Only minus was you could still hear the music and talking from upstairs when you walked by the staircase.
I got the chocolate covered strawberry facial with Jayde. She was great, she answered my questions during the experience. During the mask portion, she offered a scalp massage or hand and arm massage. I went with the hand and arm massage which she did excellent with. This calming, cleansing, uplifting facial was followed by my full body massage with Lea. Lea is a gem! She wished me happy birthday a few times and gave me so much good knowledge about my body, my high tension areas and tips on how to relax them at the end of a day. Each service was about 1 hour.
Total for two people facial/massage and tax/tip came to $486. I definitely plan on returning...
