Panepinto Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

I recently discovered Panepinto Bakery, and I’m so happy they’re now part of the Smithtown community! This family owned bakery is incredibly warm and welcoming you can feel the passion the moment you walk in. The space itself is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and has such a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

I come here regularly for their freshly baked bread, which is made daily and always top quality. Everything is homemade, including their amazing gelato section, which was such a pleasant surprise!

What really blew me away is that this place is more than just a bakery it’s actually a full restaurant with a full menu. I had no idea! Their coffee is excellent (and I’m very picky when it comes to my coffee), and it’s quickly become my go-to spot for getting work done on my laptop.

They also offer custom cakes and catering services, which I’ll definitely keep in mind for future events.

This is officially my new favorite local spot. fresh food, friendly people, and an all-around great experience....

I normally place orders for birthday cakes and parties @Alphinebakery. Friday, 6 June 2025, I ordered a birthday cake for my wife @Panepintobakery in Smithtown for pick up on 8 June, 2025. I was extremely disappointed in the cake and the customer service. The cake was not what I ordered. I specifically stated I wanted a chocolate glazed with a chocolate cake. My wife does not like vanilla cake or icing. The cake they made for wife's birthday had vanilla icing. I was very clear when I ordered the cake "no vanilla icing". After being disappointed in the cake, I asked for a refund and the owner said "No". I would have to leave the cake in oder to get a refund, which means my wife would not have a cake for her birthday. Simply amazing. Ordered iced coffee, Italian panini with fries and two pastries. Everything was on a table within 7 minutes, and the fries were the best I’ve had in a while so fresh! Italian panini had so much prosciutto and cheese that I couldn’t finish it and had leftovers. The stuff was so patient with me choosing pastries, I’m really grateful. The place is clean, even the bathrooms; and the music is very nice. Not sure if they have WiFi available, but if they do I wouldn’t mind coming and studying there :) I usually take my breakfasts at Maureen’s across the road but their food is so diner-like and tastes bland compared to this bakery.
