The UPS Store — Local services in Town of Somers

I am so disappointed in this store. I have been shipping things from this location since it first opened, and now I am done. The last several times that I have been there to ship something, I have had what I consider exceedingly long waits in line, and have had my place in line bumped for people that I have to consider must be “regular customers”, whose business is more valuable than mine. Today while I waited, a guy came in with a package, which he was allowed to put behind the counter (I wasn’t asked if I wanted to put my heavy package down, and there isn’t a counter or table to do so). This other customer then proceeded to go out to his vehicle and get another package, and the clerk then proceeded to process his transaction-with no waiting at all, while I stood there holding my package after waiting 10-15 minutes. My business will now be done in the Brewster UPS store, where they appear to be happy to see me, and where they complete their customers’ transactions in the order that...

I entered the store to have 4 pages color-printed from my file. I violated my rule always to ask the price first, even for small items, and I was punished with a ridiculous charge of $9.20 that included a separate charge of $5 just for the inserting my flash drive into their printer. I called "Staples" in Mt. Kisco, and found out that they would charge me 44c per page if I print myself or 65c (max $2.60) if they do it for me, with no extra charges. Well, the fault is mine - I forgot the Latin rule: "Let the buyer beware", especially because couple months ago I already had an experience that they charged for a prepaid item to ship just for putting...

This place is the biggest rip off in town. Do not go here!! I just went there with a small framed print to be shipped, already packaged. All I needed was a box and to get it to its destination. The man behind the counter told me I couldn’t send it that way (it was wrapped several times in bubble wrap and secured with mailing tape) He then proceeded to use the exact same materials and then charged me $25 and over $13 for the box. Such a scam. Do not go to this store. Do yourself a favor and go right to the UPS center in Yorktown. I sent a gift that cost me $7.99 for almost $80....
