The Licensed Esthetician I spoke with was very kind and understanding. As were the people at the front desk.
However. HOWEVER. As of 9/13/2024 there is no way to directly contact this Somers office.
All calls are routed through a horrible series of seemingly disconnected call centers. Over the past three days I have made and/or received 14 phonecalls to set up my failure of an appointment today.
I was given incorrect information by literally everyone except the Licensed Esthetician. By then my appointment had already been moved once from 10:45am to 1:30pm on the same day because it turned out I needed a different kind of appointment. Upon arriving I was told that I'd actually needed a different different kind of appointment with someone else before I could be seen by the Esthetician.
I wish I had been told that over the phone by any one of the other dozen or so people I'd spoken to. I wish I'd been told all this during one of my many phonecalls and before I'd taken a vacation day from work.
Even up until the morning of my appointment I was suddenly receiving phonecalls (plural) in regards to questions I'd had two days ago!
So now I have an appointment set three days out and I have no idea what is going to happen next.
If I were given the chance to do all this again I'd have chosen somewhere else to call.
To be clear, the Five Stars above reflect the service at the specific office I went to. They were sympathetic and patient and did their best to rectify the mistakes made by uninformed people answering the phone hundreds of miles away.
Whomever is in charge of the way people make appointments at this place really needs to rethink their process because I'm going to tell anyone who'll listen about what a shambles that system was to engage with.
If they are forced to shut down I'll know exactly why. It won't be the poor, unfortunate staff, it'll be the fact that the call center is shooting everyone in the foot before they even get it...
Read moreI have been a patient of Dr. Zeltzer since 2012 and think he is terrific. My complaint today is with the office manager and training of staff. I took a fall last week in Heritage Hills and today’s appointment was to have the 17 stitches removed from my face. I made this appointment last Thursday today is Tuesday. I called at 10 am Tuesday for a 1pm appointment to see if they had a wheelchair available in Somers or should I bring my own since I don’t walk. In the process of answering my questions the nurse ask me why am I coming in. I tell her to have my stitches removed from my fall. She tells me Hudson Dermatology only removes stitches they put in. My major problem is why was I not told this when I made the appointment or called and told this. Since I don’t walk I had to set up a ride have someone change there entire day to help me out. I also changed my medication schedule for yesterday and today which I must do when I go out. Dr.Zeltzer is wonderful but the office needs better training and communication. Very disappointing and the 17 stitches are still in my face Lastly I was told I would get a call back from the Training Supervisor to register my complaint and get an explanation. It is 14 hours later no such call has happened yet. Very...
Read moreI struggle with cystic acne and am super into skin care so I’ve visited several of the Hudson Dermatology locations. I love using them because they always manage to fit me in quickly, without weeks in advance, and are able to schedule me an appointment at any of their locations with one call (instead of scrambling to call each of their separate locations).
The doctors that I love, who have been super friendly, genuinely wanting to help and care, and very thorough - taking the time to answer all of my questions and actually explaining things to me and providing more than one option and education so that we can work together to decide on the best options to meet my concerns/goals are:
Dr. Jaiani (Somers office; he is so nice and listen to all my concerns, explained so much to me, and offered helpful options! Office is always super clean, never long wait time, friendly staff)
Dr. Scarrone (Tarrytown office; she is the sweetest! Super thorough, listens to all concerns, very knowledgeable, offers helpful options that cater to your preferences, and really cares.)
I’m sure all the doctors here are great! These are just the two that I’ve had the pleasure of having...
