Wegmans — Local services in Town of Sweden

Update: it is with great sorrow that I have to update my review their employees are still stellar, my particularly want to thank Julie behind the customer service counter for going above and beyond. But their prices for their own branded food have gone insane. I'm going to be spending this birthday alone so I went to get a slice of cake. As you can see from the picture the cake is ridiculously small for $5.50 and all the other slices the carrot cake were the same size. Rotisserie chickens almost $15? I paid $9 for a sandwich there they contained only vegetables and it was a pre-made sandwich too. Kind of soggy still good but really good God.

Original review: This grocery store is pretty much a local religion and, and for a reason.

More than a decade ago when I moved here I had at least five people tell me I needed to try wegmans, I've never had a grocery store recommend to me before so..

If you been here you know the deal, excellent customer service, they treat their employees very well, fresh baked breads made in store, lots of to go food options like sushi and pizza, their store brand is excellent all the pre-made food I've gotten from them is awesome.

I've never had a less than exemplary customer service experience with Wegmans

--- 08/11/2023 --- Did a nearly $250 app order with pickup at the store this past Wednesday. Gotta say I'm really disappointed. They bagged RAW MEAT on top of veggies like shredded carrots and Asian slaw mix THAT CANNOT be washed before being consumed. Additionally we got two 1lbs packs of mushrooms and a pack of mini cucumbers that were CLEARLY ROTTING in the package 🤢. We ended up throwing at least $12 of produce directly in the trash... JUST NOT OK! 🤬

--- ORIGINAL REVIEW --- 1st we're not from the area, but ALWAYS happy to see Wegmans! Finally signed up for their loyalty and typically went inside to shop... but today was busier than usual, so I tried their shop online and pickup at the store.

My only complaint about the ENTIRE process was I couldn't find an option to change ALL items to "don't substitute" as that's my general preference.

Otherwise their online store was laid out well and easy to navigate and search for items. The checkout and payment section was easy and their regular updates were very welcomed!

At the store, they had a curbside area at the front of the building and only 30' from the associate door. In total, I think it took less than 5 minutes from check-in to departure.

** ADDING TO REVIEW- BAKERY DEPT NEEDS MORE TRAINING ON WRITING PLEASE!!!! SEE PICTURES. Wegmans Brockport is our choice of Wegmans locations. You can't beat their fresh baked goods, meats, cheeses, deli goods, quick pre-prepared meals, fruits, vegetables and varieties/options. The Wegmans brand products are high quality. I prefer their paper towels and toilet paper over national brands such as Scotts. Even in power outages their generators keep their customers able to get their needed groceries and goods. Wegmans is a true Rochester staple! 4 stars was because of the lack of allowed imagination to be used in cake decorating. Flowers or balloons. We ordered a send off cake for my son joining the US Navy and the quality of the writing was sub par. I had to fix the letters with a butter knife and tooth pick. It wouldn't have bothered me if it wasn't such an important occasion. That was worth one star because of quality control. You need to be able to read the words with ease. Other than that, 5 stars. I'm sure if i had caught the writing before getting back home that they would have fixed it somehow. Wegmans is known for their customer service level...
