J.Jill — Local services in Town of Wappinger

The Fishkill store varies wildly in staffing, especially their different levels of civility, attitudes, and attention to the customers, to the extent that today, my friend and I decided that we will never go back again. First, there was an informal sign on the door saying that they would be open from 10am to 6pm, but they did not open until 12:35pm. Then, because we saw there was someone there, we called; they said they would open shortly. When they finally opened--with an unwelcoming attitude--they made no attempt to apologize and were openly sour, humorless, and downright rude. We asked whether there was a problem with the schedule this week, and the clerk snapped that she had no idea. I met two of the rudest sales women in this store. I came in to do returns from two rather large online purchases I made. The saleswomen's names were Dee and Karen. I will never return to this store again. They were so rude and nasty. They acted as if I was bothering them by coming into the store to return my items. They snottily asked if I kept anything at all. I said I purchased quite a bit and actually kept a lot of it. They made a snide comment that at least I kept the socks. I have shopped at JJill for years and as a credit card holder I have never been treated so poorly at one of their stores. I can understand one person having a bad attitude but definitely not two. Now I understand why there was no one else in the store. I will not use this store anymore but will pay to do my returns than deal with these two...

I’m so disappointed with the last 3 catalogs from JJills. I always rush to my Jills store the day after I receive a new catalog. I did not find anything this last visit. That’s a first. In the past I’ve come home with a full bag. The sales girls know me and commented that I didn’t find anything. We talked about my lack of interest and enthusaium in the new lines and styles and suggested I leave a review. The two times before I visited the store I bought a scarf 2 months in a row. What happened to the wonderful JILL tunic length tops that were so soft and or elbow length sleeve for the mature arm for summer? Jill’s has been my favorite go to store for years. I fear I’ll have to start shopping...
