Read moreInfo on their site and what they actually do is not the same thing. We were told to arrive an hour before the show began, so we did, but no one else did. When we arrived, we were given no direction on where to go or where to park unless we asked... Which was frustrating as online it says that people will direct us and that SUVs/trucks needed to park in a certain spot. The concession staff was okay. They did not greet me. Their website states that all concession staff would be wearing masks. They are not. The App did make it easy to order food, but there was no information on the app on the website, just in the flyer you get when you arrive. I had messaged the theatre in the morning asking if the concession only takes cash (info that would be helpful to have before arrival, as not everyone carries cash all the time) and where to order online but did not receive any answer at all. By the way, the concession stand only takes cash, unless you order from the App. Do not expect gourmet cuisine. This is sub-standard concession food. The hot dogs were more like tepid dogs, the pretzel had the consistency of cardboard but the pizza bites were pretty good. Theatre staff did help to get people to turn off their headlights before the show began, however once the show started, they couldn't care less. People had their headlights on, people arrived and are trying to park, blinding you with headlights throughout the entire movie. Not allowing late arrivals after a certain point, or holding cars until intermission if they are only coming for the second show would solve this.... Or even asking people to park with just their daytime running lights, instead of the full headlights. They do not police their own cooler rule or their "only take up one parking spot rule." People just spread out with no care of any other patron. Also, the parking spaces are not marked in any way so people park incorrectly and then block the lanes. The movie image and sound quality were great, but the theatres are very close together, and therefore very distracting. We were in theatre 3, which is an obvious add-in and let me tell you we were thrilled we don't have kids. We were watching a family movie while a horror movie is on the next theatre. I saw a kid get stuck in a bear trap while watching a kids/family movie. I don't care, but if I had a kid, I'd be pretty upset that the first movie on that theatre was so bloody. If you kept the family movies on one of the end theatres only, and not sandwiched by two very close screens, you'd have a bit better control over that. Anyway, parents, try to position your car in such a fashion that you only see the two screens and not the three to try to limit your children's viewing of the horror films. Overall, an okay experience, but could have been improved so easily.....this was the first real social thing my husband and I did since the pandemic started. It was his birthday and I thought this would be a COVID friendly date night as we could keep our windows closed, etc. Any Covid precautions they say they are taking online, they are not still doing. We skipped things like popcorn because no one is masked in the concession stand and we didn't think we wanted popcorn that's just sitting out with everyone breathing on it. As far as coolers go, as I mentioned before they state that they are not permitted, but people are bringing them. Charge a cooler fee if I want to bring one in, so that people can bring their own food and you don't lose money in the concession. I would have been happy to pay you a fee if I could have brought in nicer food for my husband's birthday and not eat crummy hotdogs....or Warwick drive in, please buy better hot dogs... You charge enough to splurge...
Read moreYou cant beat this place! Here is what you need to know: Its reasonably priced and you get a double feature out of it. They have snacks and bathrooms at each of the three screens. There are little play areas for the kids to use before the movie starts. The staff will come around and make sure people are parked correctly and they will even tie some car trunks a little lower if they are blocking your view. I have never been blocked from the screen and most other patrons are very considerate. You should bring comfortable chairs or pillows and blankets if you are going to lay in the car. Before you go it is a good idea to test your vehicle at your house so you can figure out how to keep your radio on for the sound to the movie while simultaneously getting the lights inside your car to turn off while also leaving your trunk open. Some cars with push start can be hard to use in accessory mode as well. Even if you figure out how to do everything ahead of time you will still probably want to start your car and run it for a while in the middle of the movie. If you don't you may find yourself with a dead battery at the end. If you do make that mistake (as I have) they have jumper packs available as long as you can catch the staff before they head home for the night. If you are really worried about it you could always bring your own jumper pack or cables or you could just rent a radio from the theater for just $5 (an incredible deal compared to the stress of a dead battery or headlights that wont go off when your car is in accessory mode). I say all this to prepare you not to dissuade you; so allow me to encourage you once more. I didn't know that places like this could survive these days, but the last few times I have been I saw that the drive-in not only survives, but thrives. It is such a fun activity and so relaxing in the open air. The area of Warwick is beautiful so when I go I usually make a day of it and form a collection of local snacks to eat while we watch the movie. Beforehand there are plenty of places to eat dinner, sip wine, get ice cream, get coffee, get donuts, go for a stroll, or watch the sunset. Don't cut it too close getting to the movie. Just get there with plenty of time and enjoy Warwick for the day and remember that the box office opens at 7pm so you can go and pick out the perfect spot to enjoy...
