Candy Cottage — Local services in Town of Webb

The Candy Cottage is like taking a step back into my childhood. They have novelty candies that I haven't seen since I was little. What really makes a stop into this quaint little store necessary is their home made fudge. I lived in Michigan for some time and the U.P. Traverse City has some amazing fudge. THIS is even better! Smooth and creamy with an incredible variety of flavors, there is something for everyone. They also make caramel in store. Top hats are their own design of a marshmallow enrobed with fresh caramel drizzled with white chocolate. So good! Oh and ask for a sample for their caramel corn... I bet you'll buy a whole box for the drive home! The best part for me was the service. Everyone was smiling and friendly even though the line went out the door and down the sidewalk. Even the owner Larry and his sweet, kind, mom were smiling and took time out to talk with customers. This place is amazing and a true asset to the Old Forge business district. The chocolates and fudge are excellent. The rating is just two stars because of the subpar customer service. We had never been to Old Forge or your store before. We went to your store yesterday and this morning. Both times we made a purchase. Both times, the same woman cashed us out. She was impolite and didn't smile once. When we asked her a question, she became agitated and gave a curt reply. We chose to visit your store again today because we believed she was having a bad day yesterday. She treated us the same way this morning. We would have bought more fudge if it weren't for the lousy customer service. The fudge and candy are delicious. This candy store is magical for children and ADULTS. The first time going in i had the pleasure of dealing with the owner himself. He was a very friendly respectful guy.The following day i seen him hanging his 30 year sign up, bright and early in the morning, as i was driving through for my morning coffee before daylight was even finished breaking. And i realized that it was just the magic in the making. This store is beautiful. I stopped in daily while i was in town, and bought a couple wood carvings to look at when im missing old forge.
