Nasty disrespectful employees (BRITTANY), poor quality produce to sum Aldi's up. I have shopped here for over a decade and will no longer. Produce spoils within a couple days of bringing it home- it is no wonder because if you watch the employees stock the shelves, they throw the fresh fruits and veg onto the displays. The cashiers are just as bad, throwing your produce, crushing your breads in the cart. They don't care, and the cashiers are extremely rude. Brittany is the worst of them yet. No greeting, no thank you for shopping here, no did you find everything ok? Brittany also barks for you to empty a box filled with cereal (1 type, straight off the shelf) because she is too lazy to simply scan one and punch the quantity in. Then she proceeds to complain to the next customer in line. ALDI management - you need to coach your staff to respect the customers, handle the goods that customers are buying to consume with CARE. Very basic stuff here. For Shoppers - check out Save-A-Lot in Ontario, rt 104, the employees are very pleasant, they stock the shelves with care and load your cart with care. Better prices too and less...
Read moreMy husband and I just went to Aldi for the first time ever, and I don't know what everyone's issue was with us but ir was the rudest experience with other customers I've ever had. We were dressed comfortably, on our day off, with our one year old son. First off, we didn't know you needed to put a quarter in the cart to use it. My husband asked two different customers how to get a cart. Both ignored him entirely. Then we get in with our cart and we're just looking around since we've never been. We couldn't get down any aisle without getting dirty looks from customers. One lady intentionally hip checked our cart because it was in her way, didn't say excuse me or anything. Another lady seemed to be following us everywhere and pushed past me multiple times to get to the items she wanted, as I'm carrying my son. We ended up putting everything back and leaving without getting anything because it was such a bad vibe. I have never felt so unwelcome in a store, and will not be going back...
Read moreGreat prices and quality products without all the frills. You deposit a quarter to use the carts, bring your own bags, and bag your groceries. However, the money that the company saves on labor to round up carts in the parking lot, buy bags, and pay to bag them, they pass on to the customer and their employees. They pay their employees well- As a customer, it makes me feel good knowing that the employees are not being taken advantage of. And don't worry, if you forget to bring bags, you can buy bags for under a buck or use a box!
They offer a good selection of produce, fresh meat, non-perishables, organic items, and even have some gluten free brands. One of our favorite dinners is their take and bake pizza; delicious and only $6.49 for a large.
Finally, the store has a smaller footprint. I find it much easier to get in and out and get exactly...
