Staples — Local services in Town of Webster

The display on my 3-year-old PC was not working. Several re-starts failed to cause the display to function, so I assumed my machine was toast.

Frustrated, I went to the Webster, NY Staples store. The sales associate (a feature writer who I recognized from his articles published in the local newspaper) directed me to some new product examples suitable for my use.

The sales associate then charged me for the sale of a new PC, which, with software, totalled just over $1,220, before tax.

Here's the problem...immediately after he'd charged my credit card for the new PC, the sales associate then removed the battery from the bottom/back of my old PC and then returned it to it's functional location, which immediately caused the display to light up and perform normally.

I was very upset that the sales associate intentionally misled me to purchase a new unit before he took the step of removing and replacing the battery.

If I had my wits about me over the unexpected result of normal functionality and the slap-in-the-face shock of being cornered into a sizable purchase, I would have canceled the transaction immediately.

Stupid me.

I lived in NH for a # of years. I Love NH 💕! I visited Staples weekly in the Stratham/Exeter NH area. The manager, Dawn is phenomenal!! Lydia is her co-pilot & is as awesome!! I have a condition which leaves me at a loss with names. This is difficult at best. In no way intentional & it's not great fun to deal with! Installation of my new brain~June 11. They are incredible & knowledgeable employees. 2 powerhouses who deserve a big $$raise$$! They assist as soon as free & I receive 100% attention whenever I visit. "Trust me" Dawn & Lydia are undeniably my favorite ladies at Staples! They're good people who work hard, & the work created is flawless. ALL my needs are taken care of by these ladies!!

I'll sing a song which rhymes as to recall names. In my opinion our name represents who we are.

Tonight I went in for some last minute school supplies as many did just an hour before close. I had a list with all of the items and had no clue where to start. As I approached the school section in the rear of the store i was stopped and asked if I needed help finding anything. I really did. But the thing is she was totally out of range and made a real effort to ask as I was walking very fast and in a rush. I told her I could use some help and she turned my undoubtedly, very long tedious search into a fast one. I had 15 items total and they were all over the store. I am not familiar with the layout and this was greatly appreciated. In talking to this employee I found out that she was new and was just starting her second week. I was blown away. Great attitude and great work ethic. This location is fortunate to have a new employee such as yourself....
