I went here last night around 430 PM to return a wig I had purchased just a few days ago, never taken that or the receipt out of the bag. As I started walking into the store a younger store worker ran in front of me in the parking lot and cut me off walking, went into the store as I was trying to get there as well and as she opened the door she started pulling it closed behind her. I walked into the store, she immediately turned around and nastily asked me if I had a return or an exchange. I kindly told her "a return," she said "we don't do those any more." I told her I wasnt aware of this no return policy as it wasnt explained during my purchase, nor was it on the receipt. The older woman, assuming a supervisor or manager, behind the counter told me "you're lucky we're still open right now, we were supposed to close at 3." She kept telling me how "lucky" I was the store is still open. I asked if I couldnt do a return, if I could exchange, they told me no, because everything is now 50% off. Asked about store credit and I could go shop and get something else that I actually REALLY wanted. They refused. So then I got upset. I demanded a refund. She then told me I'm lucky i paid with a card so they couldn't ping the refund if i had used cash. I kept my cool, and didn't swear at these people, I wasn't rude in the least bit, but was treated like I was the worst human being on the planet. I am now refusing to shop at this store in the future. I will be making purchases elsewhere from now on. I understand they wanted to go home, it was a Friday... but I'm mortified at the way they treated a customer that would have been willing to spend MORE money at their store but they refused...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusted with the customer service at the webster NY location. The treatment was horrific by the rude blonde "greeter" and the tall teen boy and brunette on the floor who both followed my husband and I around the store very VERY noticeably, clearly thinking we were trying to steal for no reason whatsoever. I assume this given this treatment began within minutes of us entering the store and they stayed on top of us. I believe this was purely judgement based off of my looks (I was in a black long sleeve shirt and widely ripped jeans [I busted some of the strings recently due to pregnancy weight gain after years struggling to conceive they were my favorite Halloweeny jeans] along with black rose tights and black boots with a funky lip gloss and my hubby was dressed blue collar as always. The staff was rude, did not offer us any help, followed us and only us around the store as I checked if anyone else also received this treatment and I saw no signs of this. Then on our way out of the store the rude blonde looked me and my husband over thoroughly to the point she got on her tip toes, leaned forward and sideways, then dramatically checked my husband's back side as if we were walking out with merchandise when their treatment made us put all of our stuff back that we planned to buy and Halloween is TOMORROW! Is rather drag my exhausted butt back out tomorrow than spend my money where we get treated that way. It's disposable and that woman should not be working in customer service ive shopped at SPIRIT Halloween for 18 years and i may never shop their again. I intend to warn people as well. No one deserves...
Read moreI love going to this store every year and I spend all sorts of money . I get excited for the opening each year. This year it was sort of lame . I was dissapointed with the set up of everything. Usually when I walk in every year, I feel like a little kid and get excited to see everything and get thrilled by the decoration demos , this year I didn't get that feeling. I circled for awhile and ended up walking out spending $12.00 rather then my normal...
