Bartertown Collectibles — Local services in Town of Webster

Don’t trust the 1 star reviews, these all stem from 1 person whose deal fell through who then asked his friends (people who have never dealt with bartertown) to give bad reviews (interesting how they all showed up at the same time isn’t it? That’s because they are not real customers!!!).

I’ve bought from bartertown many times, in store and through mailorder, and have always been very happy with the prices, customer service & overall experience.

This is a collectibles shop where you will pay collectors prices. The stock is the best in the city for vintage toys, records, clothes & more. They have stuff here you won’t find elsewhere & the prices are right about where they should be in comparison to collectibles on eBay, etc...you can even find yourself a couple sweet deals!

You can’t find this stuff at target or Walmart! This is the real deal. The owner is cool & knowledgeable and awesome to work with unless you make unreasonable demands. Guess what? It’s expensive to ship big heavy toys! Shipping ain’t free. If you don’t like the prices, by all means don’t buy it, but come down and decide for yourself. I bet ya you’ll leave with something you’ve been wanting forever!

I stop in this store and find awesome stuff to buy every time I’m in town and purchase from him through mailorder when I’m out of town. Never been disappointed & always been treated professionally.

So this is my kind of store but it may not be for everyone. There is a shockingly huge selection of every toyline you can imagine and a huge number of comics. If you enjoy digging around piles and piles of stuff looking for treasure then this is your spot. There's are cases full to bursting as well as a great variety of vintage stuff still in box. Apparently there's more in back too! Your best bet is to go with plenty of time or come in with a specific idea of what you want. Both guys working were very helpful and knew their store well to help me find stuff. The toys are vaguely organized into different lines but there's stuff everywhere, the comics are not organized well but the guy working had a handle on what was where and helped me find a Marvel Transformers #1 at a good price. It's a bit frustrating as most stuff isn't marked with a price, I probably would have bought more if I knew the prices but I hate having to ask about everything I'm interested in. They could really use a good solid few days of cleaning, organizing, and pricing but I've come across places like this and if you are a collector then this is the place to find what you are...

After picking thru his $2 boxes for over 2 hrs and being told he would work with me on prices when I went to check out at closing told him I’d be back tmrw he proceeded to look thru my pile and pick out comics that weren’t suppose to be in those boxes so now I’m his employee. He wouldn’t work with me on pricing for 45 comics plus what I would have bought the next day. Waste of time and they don’t know how to sell won’t be going back. In response to your response I never demanded anything but u demanded that the ghost rider was in the wrong box didn’t you not $2 like u said. When I walked in I said you’d work with me did u not? You lost a $45 sale plus what I would have bought today. Those comics will sit there forever because they are .50 cent comics at best. If you paid more then .20 your on the wrong business. Good luck your not a very good...
