Update**TL:DR - Ordered take out, told to pick up in 30 minutes, I arrived at that time, was told it would be a little longer politely waited an additional 30 minutes before requesting a refund and leaving with no food or refund. Conclusion: yesterday I received a refund finally but only after making over 8 phone calls to the restaurant where I repeatedly caught the owner, then magic he became the manager in outright lies. The only way I got a refund was by refusing to get off the phone or continue to callback repeatedly until I had email confirmation. Magically after that I received my email refund confirmation 2 minutes later.... P. S. - I currently working with retail operations and have worked in restaurants in food service and this is not normal. This business will be reported to the better business bureau in Webster because something shady is no doubt going on.

This has to be when I'm the most disappointing restaurant experience I have had in a long time, maybe they have good food but unfortunately when they are unable to cook it for you, you never get to try it. After returning home from the holidays in Connecticut last week, I obviously did not want to cook and someone suggested that I try Thai Bistro. After placing my order told me to arrive at 6:44 p.m. 30 minutes later so I got there at 6:45. I was told it would be 10 more minutes, ok no problem. However, I then waited out in my car for 10 minutes, then inside for 10 minutes. After witnessing two more people come in and being told that it would be 10 or 15 more minutes for their order and it already being 7:15 p.m. I asked the girl working the front counter for a refund, I would go somewhere else (got a text at 8:17pm that my order was ready). At this point she told me that, and I know this is not her fault, the owner has to do all the refunds and it takes 3 days until I have still received no refund, I even called on Thursday and spoke to a manager and gave them all the current information which he hadn't previously known about. So obviously if I didn't call I never was going to get the money. I will update this once I do get my refund because I will get it but I have to say that the unprofessional behavior of not being able to provide refunds when you cannot provide the product is just unreal to me. *I will update this review once the situation...

UPDATE 9/1/23- Tonight we had reservations at this restaurant for dinner. We were seated at once and the young man waiter was very attentive but obviously new as our entrees arrived right on top of our tom yum soup and fried calamari. The soup tasted fine, although it did not taste like what we ordered, but rather some weak broth of some kind. We ordered the veggie selection, which was full of giant slices of raw zucchini, and what must have been old oversized dried up carrot slices (which neither of us like, despite it being abundant and cheap). Additionally, it was barely warm. All of the veggies in both of our selections were giant sized. From the broccoli to the peppers. In hindsight, we should have ordered knifes as well (although having to cut up my soup veggies would have been a first). My stir fry tofu was very good, although my guest's stir fry lemon grass chicken proved to be mediocre and loaded with salt. This was our first trip back since being treated very rudely about a year ago. We both felt that the event was an employee error so gave it one more try. Tonight my guest became ill with indigestion several hours after eating, whereas I was fine. Either way, it's an expensive way to learn a lesson.

ONE Year AGO- due to C19. Price is average, service is excellent. Inside, it's spotless, however, seating might be limited on a busy night...

If they could get the food and the service on the same page, this place could do some great things. Our experience wasn't off to a great start with a wait of over 30 min to get the appetizers we ordered (fried tofu and chicken dumplings). No real explanation as to why, and the dining room wasn't packed. There was a steady pace of people coming to pick up take out orders. They need some better systems in place for keeping things moving. When I asked for Sriracha and black pepper, the waitress was confused and said she wasn't sure they had either one and that she doesn't think they use either one. She was able to bring us some garlic chili paste and some pepper packets. The menu is pretty limited compared to other Thai restaurants in the area, and I was bummed they don't have Pho. I ordered the Hot Basil with tofu, and after all the waiting, the flavors made it worth it. Fresh vegetables, still crisp, bright colors and a spicy sauce that packs a punch. My fiance got the shrimp fried rice and was pleased overall. To their credit, the appetizers were taken off the bill as an apology for the wait. Maybe it was just an off night, but this was not what I expected with some of the rave reviews I had read that led me to...

1st time visiting this place, nicely put together decor wise and layout. The small tables on the raised level are just that- small. Barely usable for 2 adults and food with hardly any table top space left for drinks or extra bowls if your dinner comes with them. But the food, which is after all why you go anywhere, was superb! Lots of flavor and well presented. It looked like a way fancier dining location with how the dishes came out- picture perfect for a menu shoot and they tasted as good as they looked. If you like Thai, you need to try them out- you won't be disappointed!

We really enjoyed our meal here, excellent and tasty food! This place makes great sauces, even for the apps which I feel isn’t common. Not pictured but loved were the fresh rolls with chicken (very refreshing with good peanut sauce) and golden triangle puff (crispy, well spiced and great side sauce). For the mains, everyone loved the green curry the most, followed by red curry. We learned the head chef is a master curry chef who studied in Thailand, pretty cool. The drunken noodles were good and I liked how much chicken and veggies came in the tamarind stir fry.

The evening we dined there was only one waitress and it was a slower evening, we waited about 10-15 minutes before we were greeted after we were sat. The server didn’t seem well trained but was friendly and did apologize for the delay. The food quality was good, the crab cheese puffs are well prepared, would get those again. The Pad Thai was good, is it the best in Rochester, personally I don’t think so, but it was well made, the amount of protein was generous as well. The portion size was good. Is consider takeout should I choose this location again.
