I don’t like how they don’t provide an itemized receipt, they charge a collective rate by pricing each individual item themselves, it doesn’t seem very transparent or an ethical business practice and a very outdated way to charge/bill customers. This gives the owners more flexibility in pricing and it makes me wonder about fair billing practices as there are no price tags on each individual item. That needs to change. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful - that was one of the best parts about the experience and they really try to find items that suit the individual. Some decent selection, it took time to find what I liked, most of the selection was okay for tops and it’s not something I would buy, but like how they have a lot of variety for various needs; nice pieces took time to obtain. I also don’t think they do returns or exchanges, not even within a short window, they should have confidence in their clothing to be able to offer that. I would say some of the items I got were overpriced and the quality does not seem to match the price. I’m not a clothing or textile expert, however the fabric has strings coming out, etc. I would come here because it’s convenient and has a lot of selection, I’m sure there are better shops out there in the broader area if one does research or go through a custom/independent designer. Also, they apply way too much pressure and want you to buy more stuff to make more money, poor customer service. For example, I’m not sure but I think it’s the owners son, whenever I go into the store he always tells me oh would you like to buy another item, you picked up 2 - whey don’t you get 3 pieces: he’s clearly just trying to make more money. Ridiculous and it’s super annoying. I will get more stuff on my own...
Read moreI had an amazing time shopping for my wedding at Batra Warehouse. Ruchi helped me out and she was exceptionally good, well read on her products and took the patience to help me decide. However, I picked out a lengha for my wedding and left it for alterations with them. I was told that the lengha will be made to my exact fittings and all the thread work and stones (that were falling apart on the lengha) will be fixed. I came back after a week to pick it up and I waited for 45mins there before they told me it wasn’t ready. I then came a couple days later and the blouse was so ill fitted, the lengha was still in a bad shape with threads lingering and stones falling from it. When I’m paying a couple thousand dollars for a lengha I would expect some finishing touches (which I was told the tailor takes care of) I stayed with them for 2 hours going back and forth with their in-house tailor to fix it up but he did little adjustments and finally said there’s nothing that can be done due to it having heavy embroidery work on the fabric (which I understand but they should have told me the day I bought the lengha, I would have picked another one that could be fitted). I was unimpressed by their behaviour to make it work for me. At this point I have already paid the full amount for the lengha so I think they were not making it a priority. I personally think their sales associates do an excellent job selling the product but for alterations I would not...
Read moreCustomer service was phenomenal, which is why I gave 3 stars. They really do go above and beyond when it comes to helping you pick out an outfit. However, I did experience issues when it came to getting my mother’s dress altered. My mother requested full length sleeves for her outfit and we were told that this could be done without any problem. After about a week we went to the tailor to pick of the dress only for the sleeves to be only 3/4 length and not full length. I informed them of this and their reasoning was that there wasn’t enough fabric. So, my mother and I met with the owner again and explained once again that she wanted full length sleeves. She also requested that the shoulder be loosened a bit since it was a bit tight. He told us that he can make that happen and would have the tailor use extra fabric from the skirt to complete the sleeves. They measured my mothers sleeve length several times to make sure they got the right measurement. After a week, my mother goes to pick up the dress only to see that the sleeves still fell short and the shoulder area was still a bit tight. Loosening the shoulders and adding full length sleeves should be easy for an experienced tailor, so I just don’t understand why after two attempts, with a weeks time in between each attempt, this still was an issue. It’s a bit frustrating, but otherwise their customer service is great and they really do have some...
