Was this place bought out? Usually itâs the same sweet Filipino ladies that work there. This time it was a young Punjabi girl who was not friendly or acknowledge that I walked in the door. Stopped in today to grab a 30 piece, menu posted on the TV menu behind the counter read $15. I go to pay, the cash register reads (because she doesnât even tell me verbally how much my total was) $18?? I ask her why am I being charged $3 more. She then turns around looks up at the TV and says âoh thatâs the wrong screenâ grabs the TV remote and switches to a screen that looks the same but with higher different prices. I wish I wouldâve took a photo. I just didnât think fast enough. I said to her then, âyouâre going to honor the $15 price rightâ? She said âI donât know how to do thatâ. I asked to speak to her manager, she said heâs not here. On top of that the bread was definitely different then in the past some of them were so hard and dry we didnât even eat them, definitely seem different almost like it didnât have the gooey sticky sauce/butter that is typically covering the bottoms. They were really dry and made a mess when you would bite into them. Definitely not worth $18 and we will not be back. It seems to me that the ownership and possibly recipe or cutbacks have changed, the seĂąorita bread weâve had in the past was always fresh, hot, super soft and ooey gooey.
Another thing to mention is when I pulled up the sign that usually would say star bread was painted over. I do know that they share the inside of the store with pop drinks and wondered if they were even still in business. Once I walked in I saw the TV menu and saw that they were. It seems like theyâve changed ownership as to why the prices, recipe/cut back and sign our...
Read more5 stars for the Senorita bread but 1 star for costumer service.
This store is located on a busy shopping center where In and out, mcdonalds, starbucks and other restaurants located. In short parking here sucks! So when you to come here try to gauge it and dont come when its lunch time. The store itself is relatively small and its shared by another business which is like a tea/bobba place. Both instances that i stop by here there's always a line but not too bad.
The first time I visited the line is much longer but it wasn't too bad because I paid cash and she gave me the warm bread right away. The second time is less people and still decent waiting time but the costumer service disappoints me. There was 2 costumers ahead of me. The lady was talking to the cashier asking for other stuff they sell and trying to make up her mind. Yes, she is and costumer so I believe she has right to ask tons of questions specially when she's buying your product. But the cashier you can clearly tell that she's getting annoyed with the costumer and told her straight up to hurry up because there's more people behind her. Seriously? Who does that. The lady just end paying her stuff and walk away and kinda mumbled im a costumer too and your hurrying me. I just smiled at her and shook my head. That kind of costumer service turns me off. I dont think ill be going back here anymore. You may have good product but if your costumer service sucks...
Read moreI was told about this place in Tracy that makes some killer snack bread called - Senorita Bread.
I did some research, found the spot, did some more digging and decided to give it a go. When I entered the business I was taken back a bit due to the condition being a bit messy.
Added - I had to wait for some time before having my order taken, about 2 mins before someone even knew I was there.
Added to that was the, "Only 15?" remark, and look, when I placed my order.
So I must say, OH MY LAWD. I understand why I was asked "Only 15." (I thought about eating the box ours came in) There was no chance of a picture to post, they were eaten that fast.
So freaking delicious! Amazing! Come here...get this bread...don't hesitate.
It's slighy crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, slightly sweet (not American doubly overly sugar-fied make your teeth hurt sweetness) with a little buttery flavor. I forgot to mention they were warm too.
I may never have another...
