Milano Pizza — Restaurant in Tracy

I'm not sure the ownership has changed overtime but I used to get my pizza from here all the time when I used to live in Tracy. Today, I was driving thru Tracy from the Bay area and called in to get a slice of pepperoni and a gyro for pick up. They tell me 15-20 minutes. I go to in n out across from here and get a Burger for the wife. It's been 19 minutes since I called. I walk into milanos on a Friday afternoon, only see one guy working the register and the phone. He tells me another 10 minutes. I sit to the side and watch the older gentleman start making some pizzas. I noticed he grabbed a slice of pre baked cheese pizza from under the counter and started adding the toppings. How does it take 30 minutes to make a slice of pizza when it's not even fresh. How do you throw a precooked slice in the oven for a few minutes and serve it to the customer?

The young guy was sweet and apologetic about the wait time. I honestly didn't care that it took 30 minutes for a slice. I would expect a fresh slice for that amount of time. I ate a bite and it tasted exactly like frozen pizzas you get from the store. Worse than a digiorno pizza.

Please make fresh pizza that you can taste all the ingredients of the pizza.

I've been going to Milano's for years and they've always been consistent with their quality of food and customer service but today they went above and beyond. I had made an order with Grubhub around 8pm and it was around 8:30 that I noticed it wasn't going to come. I called Milano and the employee informed me that Grubhub never has drivers at night and to go through doordash instead. He suggested I cancel the order to get fully refunded through grubhub because the food was cold at that point. After I got off the phone with grub hub it was 8:45 and I called Milano to ask if we could make an order to pick up because we were still hungry 😅 and although they close at 9pm and they were already shutting down their machinery.. he not only said they'd make our pizza but that he would give us a larger size for the same price that we bought the smaller one for our inconvenience that wasn't even their fault.
