Went to Barn n Bunk to spend a little time with my 4 and 6 yr old children. This place is not real big and seemed a little simple but was close to home and that is what I was looking for today. We decided to take a wagon ride with the kids. The wagon is pulled by horses and goes in a big square the size of a couple footbal fields, just one lap. There was a 1 yr old child on there that got to ride for free and this kid screamed, threw herself on the floor and cried the WHOLE ENTIRE RIDE. The staff on the wagon did not stop, say a word or appoligize to anyone in any way for this. It was a horrible ride. I got off the ride and went to get a refund as well as another family that was on the ride. I spoke with the owner and she said, that has never happened before. I said, but it did! and your staff did nothing fo those of us that paid $20 for our families to ride for a few minutes. I asked for a refund and so did the other family, and we were told "Oh, we cant do that. We can give you another ride!" My kids did not want to go again and I was very dissapointed that they treated customers this way. I did not have anymore time to spend there and felt like they only cared about getting paid. I left without taking the offer for another ride and without a refund. I will not ever return there. I have been to a lot of other farms in the area and they are much better. The place was small and a little hillbilly. I will drive a hour to somewhere else and pay an arm and leg before...
Read moreMe: Hi there! I’ll take two scoops of Moose Tracks in a regular cup with whipped cream on top, please!
Them: We’re out of Moose Tracks. Also, if you want whipped cream, that’ll be $5.50 for a sundae and it MUST go in this very specific tiny sundae cup.
Me: Totally fine, charge me for the sundae — but can you just put it in a regular cup? (I’ve danced this dance before. Ice cream + small cup + hot car = dairy devastation.)
Them: No. (Still holding the cup) “This is the sundae cup.”
I’ve been turned down before — jobs, dates, TSA PreCheck — but never in my life have I been denied a regular cup. That one stung.
One meltdown later (mine and the ice cream’s), I’m driving home with $5.50 worth of creamy heartbreak dumped in a used travel mug , depleted my stash of t-bell napkins to smear the stickiness, whispering sweet nothings to what could have been.
Never again, BnB....
