What has happened to Skyline? As much money as they are charging, the expectation for the food should be of high quality. Yes, even for fast food! However, it is not. I do not know if this is only at the Trenton, OH location but the food here is hit or miss but lately a lot of misses. Yes, the flavor of the chili remains the same, the cheese is yummy but the portion sizes, the freshness of their food, and the texture of the hot dogs have changed. On 8/8/23 the food we were served was half good and half very disappointing for a staggering $48!! Not at all worth the value that is being charged. The hot dogs were chewy, very small and had been sitting for a long time. (The hot dogs just keep getting smaller & smaller!) I thought they had accidently used the children's sized hot dog for my order! Nope. Ordered 2 coneys but the hot dogs were not edible. At $2.98 each this should be perfection on a plate. My coneys ended up in the trash. Please, PLEASE Skyline get different hot dogs. Ones that are larger (the length of the bun and bigger around than my pinkie), with flavor & not like eating raw hide. My family also got 3-ways. Again the portion size is much smaller while the cost for the food goes up. The spaghetti & chili portion is half what it used to be. The chili to spaghetti ratio is not the same. Tonight it was dry, very little chili which just ended up being sad. The flavor was good but at almost $9.00 for a regular 3-way, they should load it up! Why so expensive? I can go to the grocery and buy a whole can of Skyline chili for around $5.00. It would not hurt to add another ladel of chili to our spaghetti without an extra charge. We work hard for our money and look forward to a Skyline night. We aren't able to come as often because it's becoming too expensive. So when we do, Skyline should provide the value & quality for what we are paying for. Especially the cheese coneys. Any positive changes would be greatly...
Read moreWent through the drive thru around 8:30 pm, sat at the speaker for about 10 minutes while the worker kept asking me to REPEAT my first item about 4 different times.. that was just with the FIRST item, so it’s not like I gave her a huge order to catch up on.. she kept apologizing over and over saying she was “typing it”. I ordered a Greek Salad, no tomato no olives(simple).. this was the item she kept pausing then asked me to repeat over and over.. finally got to proceed with ordering the remainder of my items.. Got to the window, I paid.. Handed me my order, never gave me a receipt.. Got home, the salad had TONS of tomatoes and olives on it..so what exactly was she “typing” that she had to continuously ask me to repeat it? And yet STILL got my salad wrong and unfortunately I could not eat it.. I tried calling IMMEDIATELY; took me 5 minutes to get home, it was about 8:40ish, phone rang and rang and rang, called back over and over for about 10 minutes because I wanted to speak to someone TONIGHT before they closed. The two employees were a girl with black and purple hair and the other was a girl with very short hair and I think had glasses on. The girl who took my card but didn’t give me my receipt and handed me the food was the girl with short hair.. at my last drive thru visit, the same girl with short hair asked me to my face if I wanted hot sauce or crackers I said both please, she handed me by bag of food and not one hot sauce or crackers. Customer service has definitely gone down hill and for how much we pay for food there I would expect it to...
Read moreFor some reason this has gone down hill quickly recently. My last two experiences have been terrible. Two visits ago, there were two servers working with a restaurant full. The kitchen area had probably 6-7 people working it and could not get the food out. Many were standing around doing nothing. When the servers came to get the food for their guests, and nothing was completed, I saw the server put on gloves and made the other staff move out of the way, and she made all of the food! The other server did the same while the kitchen staff sat and watched. It was utterly ridiculous and I really feel for those two servers whose tips often depend on quick service, and no one was doing anything. We came again tonight, there is one server working and many upset customers due to her being overloaded (not her fault at all). The kitchen staff tonight are serving messy food. the chili tasted off like it came out of the can, the onions were huge slices in my coney, and the coneys were just overloaded with chili pouring out all over. When we went to pay, we paid with $100, our bill was $43, and they tried to give us $13 as our change and argued with us on the correct change. It seems like there’s not even a manager...
