Walking down the streets of Trinidad I had to stop off here, I saw jewelry cases. When I walked in I was amazed! One long row of silver and turquoise cuffs, rings, bracelets, money clips, you name it. I fell in love with their pieces, each one was unique and beautifully handcrafted. Their prices are not unreasonable as far as the quality of their pieces go. They have everything from kids to xl sized cuffs in every design you could imagine. I opted to go with one of their vintage Fred Harvey pieces made from coin silver and lick skillet turquoise. They do have an option where you can pay via lay-a-way for your item if you fell in love with something and could not pay for it right away. They even show you the proper way to fit the bracelet to your wrist. The store associates were super friendly and nice (just do not bend the bracelets without knowing how), the decor is fabulous considering the building was built in the late 1800's and selection is vast. I will be visiting this...
Read moreLoved this shop. The jewlery and art are beautiful. They have some awesome vintage pieces as well as new items. They have strands of beads for sale too as well as othet cute crafting items. We enjoyed talking with the ladies that work there. They were VERY helpful and knew so kuch information. We brought some pieces of jewlery we had in and they gave us so much good info on them. They take their time and engage with each customer. This was a fun place to shop and look. It's very clean and neat. I wouldn't bring small children in unless I had control of them because there's lots of extremely valuable items all around, plus I feel like this is a grown up shopping experience. One thing I did learn is they aren't buying/trading items at the moment so it's not a traditional trading post but the name is cute. We loved it here and will be back yo purchase a turquoise bracelet. Stop by and say...
Read moreWe attended the labor day parade. We were standing in front of the Purgatoire River Trading Post. My son is disabled and he had his service dog, and she was barking like dogs do through the parade. The woman came out of the store and was being pretty rude to us as she told us that we were disturbing her business because she couldn't hear in the store because my son's dog was barking to loud. She is a pug. There was all kinds of noises of the cop cars sirens. We are not from around here, and when I talk about this and I will. I am gonna tell people how rude she was to us, and the name of her store. She is the type that thinks she is better than other people. Well not in my book she isn't. Very Disappointed in people like...
