I know a lot of my views are specific to our situation but this was a huge bummer for us. We are a family of 6 with varied diets (I know, I’m annoyed by us!) but we are patient and we tip. My husband and I both worked in food service, and we get it.

We are on a cross country drive and were so excited to find Perkatory and the kids were thrilled that there was something for each of them!

Walking in we saw folks with bagel sandwiches on their tables and we started ordering. My step-son ordered a bagel with cream cheese. Mid way through my family ordering the girl said they weren’t making bagels because there were only two of them working. I looked at the other two customers WITH THEIR BAGELS and asked to clarify—if we could get bagels with just cream cheese. She said no.

We were confused. Finished our orders. Paid. Drinks were coming out, food was coming out…then she said that she’d sold us 2 cheese danishes and they actually only had one. So I asked again, if we could have a bagel with a packet of cream cheese, cold and I’d prepare it. She said no - they don’t have packets of cream cheese. I asked for just a bagel. She conceded and gave it to me.

Meanwhile my step son was asking why others were eating bagels but we couldn’t have one. I told him they were too busy to sell him one.

Fairness: there was no one in line when we ordered, but the shop did get a rush when we were ordering. We could see there were only 2 staff (girl. That’s the model I worked too. I get it.)

I wish they’d lied and said they were out of bagels. I wish they had a few to go things of cream cheese for rushes. I wish she had a better understanding of her inventory before selling us a danish to make up for the bagel she’d also already sold us.

The food was delicious—that we got. The drinks were great (though I ordered almond milk and got dairy). I wanted to love this place but they can’t handle a rush—even a patient well...

I’ll begin by saying I don’t usually post negative reviews but as someone who does read reviews, it’s only fair to post what happened. Myself and two companions wanted to try this coffee place who has mostly positive reviews overall. I am always down to try a locally owned coffee shop rather than an overrated National chain any day! We arrived at 4:50, with ten minutes to spare until they closed, according to their hours posted online. The person working was already locking the door. We weren’t 100% sure it was for this business as the outside is a little confusing. So we stepped to the walk up order window. She then moved from the door inside to the walk up window and told us that they’re closed. My companion pointed out the time, which at that point was 4:51. We were told that they are shorthanded and they’re closed. I wouldn’t say she was exceptionally rude, however the vibe was that she didn’t care she closed early and we needed to get lost. Here is the thing: I understand being short handed, especially now. Everyone is struggling to hire. What that means to me is that customers should have patience and appreciation for workers who are there and who care and who are doing their best. Businesses should honor their posted hours. We left and went to the National chain, who also only had one employee, who knocked out drink after drink for those ahead of us in line and then eventually our order. I would have loved to review the drinks from here but since the person working decided to close early, we didn’t have the opportunity. It’s likely another local business in Trinidad that won’t...

The first time I had went in was a wonderful experience, my friend had told me to order a bubble tea smoothie and so I did and it was very good and I enjoyed it. The next time I went in they had just opened, she was very kind and I ordered 2 bubble tea smoothies and so she went on and made them. While she was making them I noticed she had filled the cup with ice and started making the drink I was pretty confused but I also did not want to be rude and say anything so I just went on. Once I got in the car I had told my dad about it and he said I should have said something but it was too late and we had to go or we would miss the bus. I was pretty upset and it was tasteless, I didn’t even drink it. He had told me to call them and tell them about what had happened so I did and she said she had to talk to her boss about it then they would call back. It was four right after I had got off of school and I called and I said I had called earlier about the bubble tea and she responded with “Yes today you will not be getting a new drink” and that was it. I was very upset because I had specifically asked for a smoothie but she seemed to deny it. I paid $12 for 2 drinks for me and my friend to enjoy witch we didn’t even because it had no flavor. This is a very nice place but it would have been very nice if they would have gave us new drinks and acted more kind about...

This coffee shop is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The coffee is exceptional, with rich, bold flavors that are clearly crafted with care and expertise. The baristas are friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to make recommendations based on your preferences. Whether you're grabbing a quick cup to go or settling in for a leisurely afternoon, this spot offers a perfect blend of quality, comfort, and charm. Highly recommended!

Has a welcoming feel to very small coffee house inside the historic bank lobby. Limited seating but has sofa and a few tables. There are also some tables outside the door in the interior lobby. Vast selection of teas, coffee and matcha. My gluten free option in their breakfast food choices was warmed and brought to my table. Baristas are hip, friendly and make sure you notice the old tin ceiling. This is in the bank building on the Main Street of historic Trinidad.

Cute little venue with everything imaginable for tea, coffee, and much more! Baristas were happy and helpful. Triple decaf latte was hot and strong (tasted like the "real" thing). My 1/2 Mexican hot chocolate & 1/2 coffee was aromatic, rich, and delicious- new favorite! Take out window is available if you order ahead. Atop the shelf with a multitude of loose tea offerings were some fun Steampunk items.
