Totally abhorred! First, my drink wasn’t made to my earlier specification. Next, when placing order, we were told that the fryer had just broken. We had both had our hearts set on chimichangas. So, we had to order something else. Then, after ordering, we waited 40 minutes for our meal. After I had asked for to-go boxes, I let server know that the rice wasn’t good. She stated it had just been made. I guarantee you that it was old! Then she asked if I wanted refried beans instead, I told her, “no, thank you. I didn’t care for the beans either”. In a raised voice, she said, “do you want me to get my manager?”, I then replied, “no, can I please just have the check?”. She responded, again in a raised voice, by saying, “listen, you’ve had a problem with everything since you got here! You want me to get my manager!?!”. To which I replied, “no, please just bring me the bill”. She said, “I will when I have time!”, and then walked away. Horrible customer service!!! We walked out. I have NEVER walked out like that...

Terrible experience! Ordered our drinks, and when it was time to order our food we knew what we wanted and told her and then she told us that the fryer broke this morning(should have been something she told us before giving us menus). Queso was disgusting. Took over an hour of sitting there, we asked for our check and they told us our food was getting put on plates. 15 minutes later still no food. Asked for it to go, another 10 minutes went by and still not food so I asked her to take it off our ticket and she said the food was getting boxes. Which was hard to believe since she lied about it twice already. Asked for it to be taken off our check so we could go because we had a reservation 2 hours away and we’re gonna be late. She told me “well this is a restaurant, what do you expect, we have a big party in the back”. The waitress should have told us about the big party and that it would take a while. The manager was rude and didn’t care at all that we were upset. All she cared about was...

Still a fantastic hidden jem. Kayla and Chris are the rock stars on the floor. It was packed, and still both the service and the food were beyond 5 star rating By far, still the best meal we have had in Trinidad in more than 30 years. The atmosphere was inviting, the food was exceptional, and priced so reasonably. The bar was a nice addition as well. I have paid double for meals that could never compare in value or taste. I never asked for refills. When they were low, they just refilled.

It's family owned and is a little hidden on the lower level of a beautiful building. I can't imagine going anywhere else when in Trinidad.

Thanks again to Kayla and Chris for the exceptional service caring for our family as if we were family. It's not often we are in town, since we live 100 miles away in pueblo. The bbq joint across the street can't spell service let alone have even bad service. At our age, service makes or...

Christopher's EXCEPTIONAL customer service, knowledge of the menu, and great personality, made this an AWESOME experience. Visiting from Texas, we think that we KNOW what good Mexican cuisine is...Well, the salsa ROCKED, and the food was OUT OF SIGHT!!! We both tried fideo for the first time and it was very tasty! I had the Mission Mexican Taco Platter with Machaca (slow cooked for over 24 hours, tender, juicy brisket) as my protein choice (WONDERFUL) and the Hubbs had the Chalupa Platter (Stuffed sopapilla with meat, topped with chile verde, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream...Machaca was his protein of choice too...This place was awesome and we will be back if we are ever in this part of the country again! I don't know if Tacho Martinez who gave this place one star, two years ago, was just here on a bad day...but my visit was the complete opposite! We cannot wait to come back!

We were so excited to eat here while passing thru and we’re not disappointed! Kayla was our server and was so sweet, quick and made the experience almost amazing. Checked in just enough, was personable and let us have space to enjoy. The back room we were in was so cool, vintage vibes all around with the booths and bar. We had the Chimichanga platter and the Santa fe with machaca - first time having machaca and it was awesome. As New Mexican we just want some OG Mexican food and this stood The test. We had three different Drinks - the OG Marg, the El Guapo (a fun Dr. pepper cocktail!) and the Mission padre. All three were delicious and made with fresh ingredients including ground fruit!! Got the flan to go because the ratings were so good I imagine it’s going to be just as good as the rest of our experience. Love Trinidad and love this spot!
