I've been here twice. Both times, I went with my wife so there were just the two of us.

We played the box and we played the cyclist lab We failed both. It was mostly fun.

The two stars is due to the help and business model. When you're in the room, they monitor you like most places do. This place however will just tell you clues without asking. It kind of ruins the whole point of solving the rooms if someone keeps chiming in to help. I would give 5 stars for pretty cool and unique rooms otherwise.

When we left the Box, we would have come back again to finish, or even paid for more time. There was no point though as after we ran out of time, the person told us how to beat it even though we asked them not to before going in. It's like they couldn't hold it in.

We went back to do the cyclists lab. When the guy started to try to give us clues, I had to say, "No more clues!" Even after saying this, he chimed in again telling me an item in the room was not part of the puzzle so I shouldn't focus on it.

We ran out of time. Again, we would have gone back to the same room as we wanted to finish it. We already know how to though as it was told to us right as we were leaving the room before i could even tell the guy (again) not to. "If you guys had only..." (I don't want to leave spoilers.) My wife and I are not going back. What's the point?

If I owned this business, I would make the following changes immediately:

  1. Don't give clues unsolicited. Tell customers they can ask for help at any time and ONLY offer help if they ask. To be fair, they do say this to you when entering. It's like they can't help themselves though, or maybe they forget you asked them not to.
  2. Space the bookings out just a little further. This way, if someone runs out of time, you can charge a premium for however many more minutes. We would have paid full cost for another 20 minutes or so. If we failed still, you would have had double the money and we would have been curious to try again.
  3. Never tell people who run out of time how they could have beat the puzzle, how close they were, etc. If you do, why would they try again? There's no more puzzle left after that.
  4. Make sure clients are actually signing the waivers. Both times, I just told them I did and that was it, they trusted me. I didnt even have to lie, they asked, "you already did it online, right?" I have no idea what's on the waiver.
  5. Make necessary repairs in a timely manner. It's not my fault that things that are supposed to be locked or secured, are not locked and secured. (We bypassed a section in one instance due to a failure as listed above.)

Edit: Thank you for your reply Owner. I've added a photo of my last visit confirmation to show my contact email and...

Went here for my birthday weekend with my mother and girlfriend. I'd been to escape rooms before but it was my mother's first time. We did the Law Office and it was a fantastic room! You could tell this wasn't a purchased room and it was something the owners worked really hard on. This room wasn't just great for beginners, it had stuff for those of us who've done rooms before. For a small room, it had so much puzzle to it! I was so surprised with how seamlessly the puzzles were spread out in the space. It really looked and felt like a law office. The clues were perfect and the time given was appropriate for the amount of puzzle solving. This was a really unique room and everything was based on our local area, so that made it feel even more genuine. I used to work at one of the locations used in the room, which just made it even more special and fun to play through. And finally, the staff were great. The man we worked with knew everything there was to know, he was extremely friendly and kind, and he made our experience even better. He made us feel that we weren't just customers, but as if we'd known each other a long time. Our level of comfort here was one of familiarity and that was something I haven't experienced at an escape room before. I would highly recommend this escape room to anyone of any experience level. You can choose your difficulty level in any room and no matter what you pick, you will feel welcome and have a great time.

TLDR; can't say enough amazing things...

Fantastic Experience! We booked 2 rooms and the lounge for a 13 year old birthday party. We had 4 adults and 10 boys ages 12-13 years. The space was set up wonderfully. Kim and Wendy made the experience competitive between the rooms and were great game masters. All of the communication from initial inquiry to final goodbyes was clear, professional, and insightful. Kim offered experience when deciding which rooms would be most appropriate for our 2 teams. The party was a success. The escape rooms were difficult but fair. Both teams escaped and we all had a blast. Pricing was extremely competitive. Would recommend for parties or a family escape rooms. We plan on returning to experience the other rooms. Thank you Time Trap...

I had my dtrs 12th birthday party here, they did the escape room and I rented the party room for 2.5 hours, they were very accommodating and Lisa was helpful and the kids had a blast, I think for the amount I paid it was worth it. We would go back, they made it out with 56 seconds left and could sign the wall, if I had one complaint I would say they should include a photo when you win with the rental. Ty Lisa
