I have been here several times. Let's start with the positives: I do like sitting at the booths, The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Eggs and bacon are pretty good.. The pancake could have more flavor. The French toast has more flavor than the pancake. Look, there's a lot of pancake competition out there. You have to do something to make your pancake rise above the rest. We are paying attention. If we want our home fries well done why don't they just put them in the fryer? Instead they put the weight on them and flatten them out to get them well done... That takes all the moisture out of the potatoes. They use that weight on burgers and potatoes and it dries out the food not sure why cooks still do that. Just put our potatoes in the air fryer and keep the moisture on the inside That way they can still be well done. A larger variety of hot sauce would be nice considering that the menu is gigantic... Why not have more than two hot sauces? Probably the biggest complaint is that they charge $2 for one biscuit why don't you get two? It's a pretty pathetic biscuit. And you know the small amount of dough it takes to make a biscuit? They make quite a profit on these. Mine had just fallen apart and I spoke about it to the waitress instead of bringing another one they wanted to talk about it for a while. It's a simple solution usually when there's a problem just bring another one. It's just a biscuit. That's the point isn't it? The meal should not have centered around the biscuit but...it Became the issue. That's why you're getting four stars instead of 5.. also, Good job on the iced tea because we go to other places and they botch that up. Unsweetened means unsweetened and you did a good job. Always make sure your customers have plenty of napkins we really don't want to ask twice for them. One more suggestion.. replace your spoons. They are the cheapest spoons on the planet. I can get thicker more durable spoons at a garage sale. Obviously these were purchased in bulk but my god they were stamped out with the thinnest metal on the planet. I notice everything but this is still a pretty good restaurant. Thicken your spoons, Add more flavor to your pancake, fix your biscuit, add some napkins and some hot sauce and...
Read moreGood food, good portions and good pricing. We dined here Sunday morning. The owners could use a better location or a plan to control the crowds. We could barely walk in the entrance to put our name on the list when we arrived. Bodies everywhere standing and waiting. People outside, all over. It was only about a 20 minute wait, but when we were seated they put us by the door in the corner. People were practically standing in our booth area where I had to excuse myself when getting out of my booth to use the restroom. On top of that it became rather hot and uncomfortable for us, I believe, because of the constant opening and closing of the door. It felt extremely humid and negated any air conditioning available. I openly said a little crowd control would be helpful and another customer said, yeah they need a new location. I’m sure by what i observed this place loses a lot of customers due to these concerns, but it’s Central Park’s business. Judging by the way the employees were addressing it or not they are used to it and nothing’s going to change. A good problem. It was an ok experience. I could care less to return or not. Waffle House is just as...
Read moreGood food, really good service, but unimpressive flavors considering the massive number of great reviews.
My wife and I came in because of the incredible review score, and frankly we were a little bit excited to try a simple, diner-style restaurant with so many great reviews.
For appetizers, we ordered the Jalapeno Poppers and Chile Cheese Fries (for some base hits), and they were good! Definitely above average, not bad at all. May get them again in the future.
We both chose specials for entrees because they seemed to be the must delicious-sounding. I ordered the Veal Parmesan over Spaghetti with Red Sauce, and my wife ordered the Garlic Brisket with Honey Bacon Sandwich, served with fries.
The entrees were definitely good quality, and had some good, unique flavors. However, we were expecting "Wow!" flavors and recipes, and while all of the food we tried was definitely good, it all fell short of our expectations -- hence the 4 stars.
We may come back, we may recommend to others, but because our experience was not as impressive as expected, there is just as much chance that we may never speak of this restaurant and...
