Joan's Bridal Couture — Local services in Truro Township

I was just reading some of the reviews and would love to add my input. I had a terrible experience with Joan. She is rude and does not care about customers experience with her whatsoever, which is appalling considering the type of business that she runs you would think giving customers at least a decent experience would be on her priority list but nope. I sadly bought my wedding dress from her which was my one and only regret about my entire wedding. I received my dress two months later than the original delivery date which she was extremely unprofessional about, and by that point I was fed up with her already so I didn't even ask her about alterations as I was pregnant and the dress was of course too small. I had barely any time, maybe a month at most before my wedding at this point to figure out alterations on my own which was an absolute nightmare. In the end I wore my dress with the seams on the sides open on my wedding day which was so embarrassing, and to top it all off my dress literally started falling apart by the end of the night(the straps holding it up BOTH came completely undone) so it basically fell off and I had to change back into my normal clothing. It was humiliating. In addition to all of that, as someone else had said, I also had asked her to take a picture of my dress on me during trying it on because the only person with me was my 80 year old great grandmother and she literally rudely said that wasn't her job. Not even to mention that when trying on my dress I felt like I was gonna faint due to flickering lights. I would never recommend anyone to give this woman any of your money. If you know me at all...you know my favorite color is green and you probably make fun of me for it. I always knew I wanted the main color of my wedding to be green. There are many shades of green but I wanted a very particular color. That color was almost impossible to find on my own...UNTIL I called Joan’s Bridal Couture. I can’t say enough about Joan and Rodger. They completely changed the tone of my search for bridesmaid dresses. They were so warm and kind and open to any questions I had or concerns. They helped me find exactly what I was looking for and if something didn’t seem right or look right they helped me find a better solution. Joan is so knowledgeable on fabrics and what looks good with each fabric. She knew what looked best next to my wedding dress as well! My wonderful mother gave me the idea that having a dress style similar to the style of my own wedding dress would help tie things in together with my girls. It worked out so beautifully and the dresses were so gorgeous, elegant and classy! Joan put a lot of work into this for me. She also offered alterations for my girls. I was so happy with the results. I can’t thank them both enough for all their help and encouragement throughout this entire process. I have truly gained a new friendship with them and love them both immensely 😊💚♥️ I am so happy to recommend them for anyone’s dress, shoe, tuxedo or alteration needs!! THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE!!

Joan acted SO nice when it came time to sell us dresses but the process after was THE WORST. we ordered our bridesmaids dresses in February and they didn't come in until AUGUST. She gave an excuse that there was an issue with her factory and blew it of like it's nothing. When I went there to try it on she looked at me crazy when I walked in and asked what I needed. I told her I was here to try on my bridesmaid dress and turned me away because I didn't make an appointment. Didn't ask if I wanted to wait. Nothing. I made an appointment to get my dress and it was so big on me. EVERY single bridesmaid's dress was at least 2 sizes to big. She charges for alternations (never told us that) so I'm assuming that's why everyone's was bigger then their measurements. When I asked if the dress was for sure going to be done by the wedding (a week away) she blamed it on ME for "being late" to come get the dress. IT TOOK 6 MONTHS!!! Not to mention I came earlier to get it. I also asked her to take a picture so the bride could see the dress on me and her exact response was "I don't do pictures, you can take your own picture in the mirror." WHAT?? The VERY LEAST you could do is take a picture for me. She also mentioned specific bridesmaids that didn't pay and come pick up their dress to other bridesmaids. just beyond so rude and unprofessional!! I would avoid...
