Update:
I decided I would go out for lunch today and check in with Bryan/Terron at SLAB Kitchen at 7360 East Main Street in Reynoldsburg. Was seated after entering. To my surprise, guess who my waitress was??? It was Danni!!! She was my waitress from my last visit and yes I spelled her name correctly this time. She brought me a menu and I was going to order the same thing I got last time but she asked if I wanted to try something different. She said try the Slow Roasted Rib Dip. I decided on Sweet Potato Fries instead of the regular ones. The key to the sandwich for me was the toasted Bolillo Bread OMG!! It held the slow roasted rib meat perfectly. Add the Havarti cheese and you have a phenomenal sandwich. They also give you some pork jus to use for dipping. AND you add those Sweet Potato Fries with the SLAB sauce which is so full of flavor. I could come in and just get a double order of it and be super happy. All I can say is come out and see the gang at SLAB Kitchen and enjoy their delicious food.
Saw that Bryan/Terron had finally opened their very own restaurant/bar at 7360 East Main Street in Reynoldsburg. Parking is around back. I met with Bryan/Terron out back and discussed how the new location was going. I finally went inside. OMG!!!! This place is beautiful. It has a nice lengthy bar, with a TV above it. They have numerous lengths of tables throughout. They have seating outside and upstairs inside and outside. It’s a phenomenal setup. On to the food. I ordered a Slab Burger which is a burger cooked perfectly with Havarti, BBQ back rib , onion straws and Slab sauce on a Brioche bun. It’s full of flavor between all the ingredients. The Macaroni and cheese is made with cappatopi pasta and a creamy white cheddar sauce. Delicious. And then there’s the sweet potato fries, that comes with Slab sauce for dipping. It’s one of those things you could sit there and eat all day long. Yummy!!! Danni was my waitress and definitely was taking care of business with refills and ensuring my experience was the best. I also checked in with the kitchen staff and every one of them was totally happy to be working here. So if you have the opportunity, come see Bryan/Terron and the gang at SLAB you won’t be...
Read moreMe and sister decided to eat somewhere different yesterday we entered the establishment a young lady told us we can sit wherever we like I choose to sit by the kitchen so I can get fresh air as well as see outside atmosphere not to mention my sister had he 6 month old with her she beelined to the restroom when we came in because she had to use the restroom as well as change baby girl I’m sitting at the table and NOTHING no service no eye contact nothing sis comes back from the bathroom and still after 7 more minutes NOTHING so I get the young lady attention that’s in the kitchen and ask excuse me do you know who our waitress/waiter is?! She says uummm get Makayla Makayla comes 2/3 minutes later and we order our food comes which was DELICIOUS by the way and she disappears like gone I had to chase down just for mayo and slab sauce once we got that she completely disappears like no come back no how’s the food I ordered a alcoholic beverage it was nasty but she never once came to see if I liked it even tho the glass was still completely full after 30/40 minutes of being there but there was a guy by the name of TERRONN that happened to be passing our table and actually engaged with us asked us how we and the meal was going turns out at the end of our meal my sister was very concerned with the customer service and decided to let a manager know before we left but problem is as per our whole visit Makayla is mia so once again I have to ask someone in the kitchen for our checks and if by chance the manager guess who walks up literally the only person that acknowledged us even being there TERRONN we like oh wow what a coincidence you’re the only one to speak to us and your the manager and looks like the chef as well !! We let him know we just wanted to pay and make him aware of the poor service in no way was we looking for a comp meal but that’s just what we got he was super apologetic that our experience was that that and even though I tried to at least pay for something he TERRONN was amazingly nice and kind and I will definitely go back due to the food being SO FINGER LICKING GOOD 😊 thanks for noticing us sir my appreciation is high hats off to you MAKAYLA DO BETTER I...
Read moreOur experience at Slab was just okay. The portion sizes were noticeably small. I ordered the Diablo Burger, and unfortunately, it barely covered half of the bun and was overcooked. My husband had the Mahi Mahi sandwich, which was also on the smaller side. Both meals came with fries that were good, but we were surprised to find we were charged separately for them.
Our daughter ordered the wings, which were actually a nice size and well-prepared.
Service-wise, we didn’t see our waitress much, but when we did, she was friendly. What really stood out, though, was how the owner personally greeted every table around us—some more than once—but never acknowledged ours. It left us feeling overlooked and unwelcome.
To top it off, when we went to pay, we realized we had been overcharged. The waitress was kind when we pointed it out and corrected the mistake, but no one, including the owner, offered an apology. In fact, one of the owners seemed visibly irritated about having to adjust the bill.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won’t be returning.
Update: The response to my review and how we left feeling… no apology, no empathy. This is not how you respond to a customer. I didn’t say it above, but you visited every table besides your two tables of African Americans. The way that you have responded to all reviews is sad. A growing business takes these things and tries to improve. Instead you want to shine light on the amount of money that you have adjusted. Adjusting that amount is not a good thing. You all should definitely find a professional to respond to bad reviews. I am not the first or the last to have experienced the same...
