I recently was in Atlanta for a conference with students and teachers and being me at last minute I decided to make welcome bags for my teachers. I Googled and found Georgia Gifts & More, it is a little bit of a drive from downtown, but that is what GPS is for. When I got there I was greeted by one of the nicest ladies ever. She went around the store and was so patient with me as I picked out items, she made sure I had the amount I needed and everything was bagged up perfectly. Then as I was checking out, I saw these Georgia gift bags with tissue paper. There weren't enough, but they looked so much better than the ones I had purchased from a big chain store. Wow! I ordered a make-your-own Father's Day gift box comprised of a good-quality 100 percent cotton Atlanta T-shirt, Scotch-Oatmeal cookies, and a 2lb.cloth sack of old-fashioned three-grain pancake, waffle and muffin mix complete with two bottles of syrup: one peach cobbler flavored and the other a roasted pecan. My husband loved the entire gift set. I used the mix to make a complete pancake breakfast for him, and I swear I saw a tear roll down his cheek as he quickly and quietly consumed the pancakes. Thank God I made the pancakes a little larger than normal. Otherwise, I'm positive he would have eaten them whole. This way, at least he used his fork to eat them in three bites. Great products!!!! I was traveling out of the country and looking for a bit of Georgia to share with the owner of the vacation rental where I was staying. She is an American who hadn’t been home in several years. The selection of items at Georgia Gifts and More was great and I settled on a tin of peach cookies. The price was reasonable and the size was perfect to pack for a trip across the ocean. My hostess was surprised by the gift. She later sent me a beautiful thank you card expressing gratitude for the cookies.
