Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Tucson

So I've given this place many chances and it seems like it's not doing very well from very poor service to rude employees to very very very slow preparing times! It's been very hit and miss. Sometimes the pizza is great On a good day but more recently I've been seeing longer wait times and there are many people in the lobby to a bunch of cars taking up space in the parking lot waiting for their pizza. I put a request in to corporate and got a half acknowledge message from the store manager. With only so many places in this area should be thriving with business. Very poor management in my opinion. With not very skilled employees. better off going to a different store. *Update - a year later 7/15/25 and this store is still ridiculous very poor training, 9/10 times pizza wasn't made to my order, I guess reading isn't a strong skill set in employees. I got a pizza today through the app and notified pizza was "ready" got to the store and lady told me it would be another 15mins. I continued to wait like I said I'm very understanding. I came back in 15 minutes later and had to listen to the food delivery guy flirt with one of the associates and literally sexually harassed her in the store. I get it if your friends but keep that out of the store and keep it professional. This entire time my pizza has been sitting on the shelf in the back and never notified. Horrible customer service. I scheduled a pick up for 4:30pm to take to a football event. When I walked in, there were 3 employees. 2 males were making pizzas and the female was talking to one of the males. She looked my way and walked towards the back, yelling "Be with you in a moment/minute". I waited a few minutes and she walked back out with dough in her hands. Without acknowledging me again, started to roll the dough in the flour. I finally asked " Is there someone that could help me?" She seemed irritated and walked towards the register, "Are you here for a pick up?" I said "Yes", and have her my name. I grabbed the pizza and walked out the door, but not without hearing her mock me, "Is anyone going to help me?" I turned around and walked right back in and I said, "Would you like to try that again"? She says, "Well, you see we're busy (no one else in the store), you could have waited a few seconds". Mind you it took her all but half a second to hand me my order. I asked for her name (Malaysia), and then asked if there was a manager on duty. Low and behold, "She said, that's me. " I was appalled at how she as a manager felt that it was okay to speak to customers like that. I will be calling to make a complaint since I couldn't speak to a mature individual in charge. The was the worst pie I have ever had in my entire life! It was stone cold, it was not what I had ordered or what I thought I had ordered which was The Spicy Italian add Onions on thin crust which means Pepperoni and Double Italian Sausage.

There was hardly any pepperoni or sausage on the pie and certainly not double sausage, the ingredients were all over the place with some areas of the pie barren of all toppings! I heated the pie up and it tasted worse than it did cold! To top things off the inside of the pizza box had been written on in pen with a large # symbol.

This is my first ever Papa John Pizza and my last! The worst $25.65 I have ever spent on Pizza! I will have nothing good to say about this place or your Pizza's! And I don't care if it's franchise or corporate store if that's the BS you're going to give me!

Tucson sucks for food! Sucks For Service! Even National Brands Suck Here! I have had better Albertson's / Safeway Brand Frozen Pizza! Matter of fact I like their pizza's and if I ever need a quick pizza that is where I will go! You will never see another penny from me!
