This review is going to sound like it's from a bipolar individual, but does represent my honest feelings on Gamestop. So Gamestop does have a great selection of games, they have all the new titles new, sometimes in used. They have previously great titles that are now usually hard to find, the X coms, the resident evil series, etc. They have gameing guide and strategy books and some really cool side items of gameing background, tee shirt, backpacks, hats, key chains, stuffed animals. They also offer a membership program that lets you save 10% on sales I think and adds value to games your bringing in to sell or trade with. The dark side of gamestop; they offer penny's on the dollar for trade ins. for example a new hot selling title you bring in that cost the typical 59.99$ will usually fetch 8$ to 10$ if you have the pro membership card. The intern turn around and put the game instance out on the shelf at 49.99$ or higher. They also offer a "deal" to pre-order games. Now in the past games like fallout New Vegas when pre-order would offer exclusive gear and the game turned out to be AMAZING and sold out the first day, so I was glad to have preorder. However the new fallout 87 pre-order offered no exclusive gear, it was not sold out the first day nor any day. I had preorder but then changed my mind after reviews on the game sunk on a new level. My money was invested into a lame game that I had no INTENTION of ever playing. Do you need to know what your preordering and the true value of your games before going to Gamestop. Their employees will tell you every new game will be a hit and instant sellout. However that same game will only get you 20% of it's original value the day after you buy it if you wish to...
Read moreIf I could I wouldnât leave stars. My parter and I came in to pick up an order that was placed online on 11/20/21and were handed the wrong product. The ironic part was that the invoice we were also handed had the correct product and was confirmed meaning they had the original product in the first place. When we confronted the man at the counter he had basically told us there was nothing he could do for us and that this location or any others âjust donât have itâ. He also didnât even bother to check for us. The next morning my partner went to another location to return said product and finds what he was originally looking for. Which is especially interesting considering we were told âtheyâre sold out everywhereâ. On his way there he received a call from the this GameStop location which he couldnât answer because he was driving. A guy named Ronald left a voicemail saying that they had the correct product in store and that my partner could go back and exchange it. Forgetting to hang up Ronald continues to speak now interacting with his coworker Damien. Ronald tells Damien about how he âdoesnât want to deal with peopleâ and âhow itâs not hard to order the right thingâ( like stated earlier was ordered correctly). They both then continue mocking him for what he bought and Damien eventually says âkill yourselfâ about my partner. I also work in retail/customer service and trust me I know what itâs like to have a bad day but to be disrespected to that extent is above me or anyone else. Damien and Ronald do not deserve their jobs. Not only are they ungrateful and inconsiderate but they were incredibly unprofessional. My partner deserves an apology and these employees should...
Read moreI took my son in with me this evening after his birthday party. We had gone to the Midvale location first and he walked out of the store crying because he couldn't find any games that were within the restrictions and budget we had given him. When we walked into the second store we met with Christian. Christian had helped my wife the day before pick out some birthday gifts for my twins (one was the son who left crying and was shopping with me) so it was nice when he remembered her in our second visit to the store. Christian was so helpful and patient with my son I was thrilled that he was no longer crying. During our time within the store Christian was at my son's disposal, he basically acted as a personal assistant for him. Needless to say my son walked out with 11 new games, still $27 dollars left and a big smile on his face. He said "He made this my best birthday!" That says it all!! I will never go to another location after the service I...
