Me and my family love going to Olive Garden, and this is our favorite location and we have never gotten a bad experience until now. We ordered our meals and everything was fine, the waitress looked nice and I didn’t think there was any issues, but I did not end up eating my food because I had a headache but I was excited to take it home for later, I don’t know if she took it personally that I didn’t eat or I honestly don’t know where we went wrong but as soon as I asked for to go boxes and bowl she got sour. I asked if my kids and us can get out next drinks in to go cups so we can go as soon as we where done with dessert, but instead she brought me two empty cups for our current drinks, which really pissed me off since I had only got one cup of peach tea since I sat down, but ok I guess paying almost 5 dollars for a drink only got me one cup through her eyes. What ever I didn’t push it because I figured she was having a bad day. My kids asked for there lemonades and I said screw us, but then I told her I had got a free dessert for my birthday in an email, which by the way I was super excited for, but instead of bringing it in a regular plate and giving us a chance to sing or take a picture, she instead brought it packed in a to go container and said have a great day. Again, I said whatever screw it, and let it go. But then while paying I noticed she charged 2 of my kids, kids meal drinks as adult sizes. And I told her that the kids drinks where charged wrong, because in all my life going there the kids drinks have always came with the meal but unless that changed, I didn’t tell her that but I just mentioned the overcharge , I don’t know if she added it because my kids had asked for to go cups, which they always do, or if she just accidentally inputted wrong but she said she would fix it and when she came back she said that she also removed the other drink, like mam what other drink? We payed for the adult drink and my kids meals have it included? She just walked away. Of course that reflected on her tip, and I never under tip because I work in customer service and I know what it’s like, but I never take my bad days on the customer, especially when they are there paying for more than $100 dollars. I left her only 10% and honestly she did not even deserve that. Our soups were purposely only liquid, no potatoes in our toscanas, and I say purposely because the table across from us had the prettiest soups ever like we usually get but no this time it was horrible. She never cleared our plates as we finished, she was just overall in a sour mood, and I know dam well it was not from us. We said thank you and please and my kids are well behaved, I don’t get what was going on but she made us feel like we where in the wrong. We started questioning if we where wrong about the drinks or if we had said something rude, or if maybe the free cake was insulting? Like I don’t know I’m an over thinker , but it sucks to think we did something wrong when we didn’t. We never care to go in and spend more than 100 dollars as a family of six because we love it there, but this sucked. Not the location or the food. The server. We don’t remember her name but we went in today June 22 and payed at 2:08. I would have loved to know the servers name but she never told me it. Every time we asked for something she just had a blank look and walked away, like not even a response. Again I know we all have bad days, I get it I had a horrible headache but not once did I take it out on her, even as pissed as I was I still said thank you everything she came by. Anyone else would of stiffed her and not tipped or even asked for a manager but I felt bad, and then we left and realized my to go cheesecake was smashed into the to go box and that was where I lost my mind. Like how many things can you...
Read moreOnce upon a time Olive Garden was a classy dress up date night venue. Sadly those days are now long gone, far removed and instead replaced by a mediocre culinary embarrassment masquerading as a fine dining establishment. Despite calling ahead, our advised wait time was significantly off, the bratty princesses at the front desk needs to go to charm school and get a clue. The hostess princess seemingly have mastered disingenuous lip service to a fine art, all at the expense of genuine customer service. Once seated we had to ask for the table to be re-cleaned as it was noticably sticky. Whoever pretended to bus the table prior to our arrival clearly has some lack of pride issues. My menu was filthy , the menu had dried and curtsy old food debris all over it, our server became noticeably annoyed and perplexed when l asked for a clean menu. I sent the breadsticks back immediately upon arrival, another dud offering, they were cold and hard, if the server wouldn't want them she shouldn't feel obligated to serve them. By this point our server seemed visibly annoyed with us, thankfully it was a lesson in mutual frustration. We placed our order and the food arrived at what l would consider a decent pace. Obtaining water refills proved problematic, again adding to our servers ever increasing levels of annoyance. We felt our food was decent. It arrived hot, fresh and edible. It really lacked in the quality and flavor department from previous visits, the food was simply unimpressive, definitely not their best effort. Eating is a life sustaining requirement, eating out is not a requirement for life. Dining out is about the food, the ambiance and the service. Sadly we just weren't impressed. Based on the dismal failures of our recent visit, I simply have no desire to return and subject myself to this instatutional failure. I'm really unconcerned if a server has one other table or twenty other tables, l only have one server and I expect to be warmly treated as a welcomed attitude free valued guest Sadly that simply wasn't in the nights mix. Based on our recent misadventures, this is not an establishment that l could ever recommend visiting. Hopefully something nice will move into this building next, it's really a great location capable of far...
Read moreLast night my family and I had dinner at Olive Garden on Irvington and I19. We called ahead and we were told that the wait was about 40 min which was ok gave us time to get there, when we got there and checked in we were seated within 5 minutes that was great. We always had great service until last night! We got to our table and the table was wobbly at 1st it didn’t matter. Another couple was sat next us and their waiter came within a few minutes we waited and waited finally our waitress MARIA S. showed up and said “I’ll be right with you guy” no big deal it was kind of busy Friday night. She came back to take our drink order and took her forever to bring our drink order. We had no salad or bread sticks at out table this is about 20 minutes of waiting at the table (the other table had their on trays) Maria S. came back to take our order and we asked for the salad she said “what are you ordering as on trays 1st” we also wanted an appetizer and she rushed us though the order. My husband asked the Maria S. “where have you been haven’t seen you around I thought you were prepping the food” with a smart remarked she replied “you are not my only table” she left and took over 30 minutes to send the boy that cleans our tables with our appetizer how rude was that! Not once she came around to ask how we were doing or offer tea refills or bring another beer for my husband. I had to ask someone else for a refill. Finally I got fed up and asked for the manager she was nice offer to not charge us for the appetizers but that was not the point we had the same waitress and she made it hell for us. Took forever to bring our bill and very rude of her when she was brought our bill for us to sign she actually put the peach tea jar on our table. I felt much disrespected. For her I will never go back again! I almost forgot when we asked for more salad was never...
