I just left this location and couldn't be more upset. I made an appointment for my dog to have her very first spa day. She is a rescue dog and has experienced some abuse so she is very timid. I explained this when making her 2:30pm appointment and was assured they would handle her with care. I will give the staff that much credit, they were absolutely wonderful with my girl which Iam extremely grateful for and I thank them very much! With all that said, here comes my complaint. I took my dog in at 2:15pm to show proof of shots, and get her in the system. As I was speaking to the woman who was going to cut her hair I specifically said "I DO NOT want clippers used". I LOVED my dogs hair and just wanted a trim. We continued to talk about other services. Once we agreed on what was to be done I handed my dog over to her. She then said "it will be 3 to 4 hours". At that point I should have said never mind but against my better judgement I said "ok thank you". My appointment was scheduled for 2:30, not 5pm. It worried me that my already sensitive dog was out of her element and comfort zone to get her haircut but to have to wait there for another 3 to 4 hours is ridiculous. If it was going to take a while for her to get to my dog I would have appreciated her just asking me to come back later. I cannot tell you how many times I reiterated that she is a rescue dog who came from abuse. She has been in my care for only 3 weeks so I'm trying to be as sensitive to her needs as much as possible. Here is where it gets worse. I show up at 5:20pm to wait for my dogs services to be done. As I walk up I see my girl on the table and I see the groomer using clippers on her. Her hair is so short. She did exactly what I asked her NOT to do. I immediately looked for the store manager and explained the situation. She was such a sweet heart. She walked right into the spa area and started speaking to the groomers about the situation. She comes back to me with who Iam assuming is the spa supervisor. The other woman tells me that the groomer didn't hear me say I did not want clippers used. I explained to both women that Iam a hairstylist. If my client came to me and said "do not use clippers on my son's hair" and the first thing I did was pull out clippers and start shaving his hair off then I would be at fault for not having preformed a proper consultation but more importantly not having listened to my client during that consultation. They agreed with me. Their solution to the problem was throwing in a free toy. I said "Thank you, but I didn't explain my frustrations to you so that I can get a free you. I came to you because this should have never been the situation and in the future I hope this is never a issue for any of your costumers." I thanked the groomer for taking great care of my dog and even tipped her because I was truly greatful that she kept my girl calm through the process. I walked up front, paid 59 dollars for the service even though I wasn't impressed in the slightest bit with the work itself and went home. As soon as we arrived home my dog ran to the yard to poop and started yelping in pain. They cut my dog and now it is painful for her to use the bathroom. That is where I draw the line. The fact that they expected me to pay really came to me as a shock as I would have NEVER made a client of mine pay for some thing that was my mistake, but to come home and see my dog in pain because they cut her is absolutely unacceptable as far as Iam concerned. I will not return to Petsmart ever again. The store close early for the holiday but Iam calling first thing in the morning and demanding my money back for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever taking my dog there again for grooming. Dont be a groomer if your lazy to do your job if you know you will sometimes have a dog who requires more time which is what we pay for it isnt for free .I Scheduled my dog for bath and brush + deep conditioning. I get there and the person who was going to be taking care of her does the assessment on my golden doodle notices she has few places of knotts in her behind and belly area and says it should be fine and should be able to get them out. While some older lady didnt get her name which i should have decides to get in another person's business and insists on if shes sure they will take out all the knotts when they clearly had said yes and were already walking her back and she comes grabs the leash from the other person whom was going to be doing the grooming and brings out my dog and sarts telling me shes too knotted they cant do it because its against policy that she will have to be completely shaved off! which was NOT the case! I got my dog and left and scheduled at the Oracle Location! and had the best experience ever and told her what happend at the Irvington location said she couldn't believe they told me theyd have to shave her. She took little extra longer with brushing her and had to trim her behind and stomach area which i was charged little extra but i had no problem paying it because they actually gave me options and suggestions and helped me out they were so nice and helpful about it they told me she did so good was in no pain at all because she was not matted just needed extra brushing and trim (unlike the...

I checked in a little after 4:30 my appointment was at 5 and from the moment I walked I got the impression she did not want to groom my puppy. She was asking 21 questions and the ones I didnāt know I simple said idk they groomed her at another location idk the size of clippers or scissors they used. (The lady that checked me in said there was no notes from the other location) She rolled her eyes and said what kind of comb do you use at home I told her what kind and that I purchased it from pet smart and she got annoyed she said she wouldnāt brush my mini schnauzer out if she had knots, so I asked her if she even wanted to cut my puppies hair and she said āgive her, her dog back and u can book service with someone elseā she was unbelievably unprofessional and rude I would not recommend her. The lady who checked me in tho was super nice and gave me the mangers number name and extension and apologized.
Jessica was the old white lady with black glasses and white hair that probably needed to retire along time ago. I would not trust her...
