When I say that this company has the feel of a local family type business, I can’t even explain how true it is. they came across some Native American jewelry, as well as a ring that I could not identify, and I took it into them this morning and found out. It was a sapphire which made me happy, but what made me even more happy was knowing that there are local companies here that treat you with respect and great care from the moment, I walked in the door Stephanie was there to actually answer the phone before I got there, but then greet me with a smile , since I caught them, I’m sure at a downtime since they were just opening the gentleman that was there. I think his name is David. Also looked at the ring just to double check what it was. They never charged me for this. They gave me a lot of information about some other pieces that I had and great suggestions as far as selling them privately, I went to the store I believe almost 15 years ago and the same welcoming atmosphere is there. I highly highly highly recommend this company not only for their great customer service and genuine eagerness to assist you but also their high-quality...
Read moreI brought 3 watches which were my grandfather's into the shop. One I was told would never work again, I got it working with WD40. The watch maker didn't attempt to do anything to it obviously, and he cracked part of the metal casing trying to open it. The other two watches I left with them. Only one, did they fix, and to be honest it looks pretty good. They sent it out for a custom crystal to be made and installed, and that part I have no complaints about. I am a little curious, what exactly they did for 65 dollars in maintenance. I asked and the best answer I got was "cleaning and lubricating the inside". Basically they didn't do anything I assume, maybe hit it with a little watch oil and canned air. 140 bucks, I probably could have done this work myself. The last, they said they could not fix.
All in all they were not that great when it came to customer service, the watch-maker is rude, and egotistical. The younger gentleman at the counter is fairly nice, but, doesn't really seem to make any decisions on his own. I wouldn't return to this jewelry store for watch repairs again. They do have neat jewelry though. So...
Read moreViir Fine Jewely. Jeff has done an 2 projects for me recently and did an amazing job with great pricing. The biggest was a full restoration of my wife's engagement ring which actually had belonged to her great grandmother. When we got married 17yrs ago he fixed it up for us, then recently my wife got it caught in a copy machine and severely damage the ring. We went to see Jeff at Viir who at the time seeing it was concerned about the ability to repair at all, and restore the very tiny details of the ring. But he took on the job any ways. The final product was amazing and he was able to keep 98% of the details of the ring that meant the world to my wife. He even put up with my continual checking and concerns during the process.. The ring is now stronger than before and ready for another generation, but still with the elegance and class of the original ring. Jeff does amazing work and I will continue to take our work to...
