There are so many things I could say about this cheese shop to tell you why it’s the very best in town, and it wouldn’t even be their extensive selection of delish and rare cheeses, their insanely kind staff, or the picture perfect vibe of the shop. It’s this: I’ve never experienced better hospitality than I did at charcuteray.

During a recent cheese workshop, owner shirayah wrote me in advance to clarify my food allergies (I’m allergic to nuts). She said she wanted to be extra careful and make sure I could enjoy myself and the cheese pairings all night long. I arrived to the workshop to find a totally personalized cheeseboard and station for me, separate from the nut-laden boards the other guests used. And because I couldn’t enjoy all the same cheeses and pairings as everyone else, her and her team came up with supplemental pairings for me that hit the same notes so I could still participate the entire time. They went out of their way to go above and beyond to include me. I was just so touched.

Charcuteray was also a featured vendor in a local food festival two years in a row, and pulled out all the stops to bring mini cheese boxes for 600 guests, and teach two separate cheeseboard styling workshops in 90 minutes, so you know they can handle a crowd! Highly recommend them for catering any and all events or even team-building activities. Who doesn’t wanna build their own cheeseboard?!

Lastly, Shirayah also personally sent me a cheeseboard after a family member passed away to help serve guests after the funeral. It makes me cry just thinking about it. Just the kindest gesture.

Without a doubt, this is one of the easiest businesses in town to support. We’re so lucky lucky to have it! Would give 20 stars...

Love this small shop! It may be a tiny building, but it’s chalk-full of goodies! We got a baguette and two snack trays to go. She kindly gave us free crackers to go with! It was clean, well-organized, and staff was ready to help with suggestions and prep. I love that I saw goods from local farmers - she’s incorporating our community here! Conveniently located just across the street from Mother Road Market, I can’t imagine going to one and not the other. The snack tray (pictured) was a great way to test it out and allow my 10-year-old daughter to experience different foods and talk about it with me. It was so beautifully arranged, we couldn’t wait until we got home to eat it. 😂 We will DEFINITELY be coming back. I’ve used her before to deliver a birthday board to a friend during Covid lockdown, and it was such a beautiful blessing; so glad I’m able to drop in and grab...

I’m so impressed and happy with the job Charcuteray did with our trays! When you hire someone for an important event, you’re putting trust in their ability to execute when it really matters, and they did just that. The platters were SO gorgeous, and they happily accommodated the nut allergy and the pasteurized cheeses for this baby shower. I would have normally done a board myself, but circumstances warranted needing help. It ended up being the biggest blessing because it was beautiful, saved me so much time, and elevated our party, making the guests of honor feel so special. I will definitely be using them for the next important occasion!...
