I bought a fridge from these guys Nov 2022, and that went smoothly. Prices were good, delivery was fine, etc.
Fast forward to Feb 2025, and my dishwasher is messing up. Leaving a thick crust of white on everything, no matter what soap or settings I used. I remembered my experience and called J and J. Figured it's cheaper to fix than replace, right?
The appointment is like 2 days later, so good there. The guy comes out with a little toolbag and a phone. He's in my house maybe 20-30 min and comes in to tell me he has no idea how to fix it. He says he can throw parts at it, but doesn't know what to do. But they'll give me a credit towards a new one!
Alright, that's something I guess. Sort of nonsense I'm charged $120 for a tech to come out and shrug at me. But I need a dishwasher, and I have a credit. Their prices are decent so I guess that's my only option.
I call the sales team for the location that has the machine I want, and I find out I'm given a whopping $35 credit towards a new machine, after the tech just didn't do anything. Gee thanks.
But I purchase one, and once again I'm told it'll be like two days before it'll be installed. That's again.... Something.
I'm going to preface my next section by saying I was charged a $150 installation fee to drop the dishwasher in.
I'm called towards the end of my installation window and told the guy is on his way. Apparently the original tech didn't come in that day, so they had to "find" the machine. Weird thing to say, but whatever.
He "installs" it, and tells me the hole for the dishwasher isn't quite straight but he'll get it in. The dishwasher does technically get installed. He drills new holes with some funky brackets into my cabinets, but tells me that he can't get the left screw in because the door will hit it and it won't shut. We're apparently completely ignoring the holes in the dishwasher itself that are there to run screws through. But it's in! And I have a fresh new scratch on my floor. Woo.
I look at the thing after he leaves and it's really, really not good. There's a massive gap on the right side, and it's slammed up against the left. The return hose from the dishwasher is absolutely stretched to its limits on my sink.
While I understand that he said the gap for the machine wasn't straight, I don't know if he didn't realize the freaking thing has adjustable feet on it or what. We pulled it back out and adjusted everything, spinning the feet until it fit the gap perfectly.
I'm disappointed on multiple levels. I'm disappointed I paid for someone to come out, only for them to throw their hands into the air and say I should just replace it (convenient for a place that sells machines too, huh?) and to only give me $35 for doing absolutely nothing. Then for them to charge me $150 for the most half-assed job I've ever seen. Machine was a good deal, which is why it's not a 1 star review. I'm sure I'll get some snippy response about how I've voided a warranty by fixing their mistakes, but to be honest I don't trust this company to do any work in my house. In the future if I need something, I'll buy it myself, pick it up myself, and install it myself,...
Read moreThis place is terrible. Do not waste your time with these people. My fridge stopped working in July and a tech name Jeremy came out to diagnose it. He said he been working with fridges for over 10 years. Jeremy said there was a part that went out on the fridge and needed to replace. During Jeremy's inspection he told me to not pack so much food on the freezer side of my fridge. At this point I was a bit confused.... why would a fridge be made with space so that I don't store food???? I brush off his comment and went about business. Jeremy came out in a week and replace the part. Now only a month later my fridge stops working again... this time a tech by the name of Zach came out to inspect it. Zach said to me verbatim "Jeremy must have over look the fridge". This time apparently my fridge required 2 parts that needed replace. Zack told me they had the parts and would be ready by Tuesday. He said they would call me to notify me. Zach came out last Tuesday and today is Wednesday. No one ever called me. Finally today I called and spoke to Sherri and told her my situation. Sherri said the parts were back ordered and would not be here until mid September and late October. At this point I'm down to my last humble patience. I been with out a fridge for 2 weeks. I have a new born which my wife and I are breast feeding. We been living out a cooler to keep milk and food cold. Sherri wouldn't apologize on the behalf of this company until I kept telling her about my circumstances. Not a single sense of decency. Not a single drop of empathy from these humanless individuals. Once again do not waste time with them. BTW the manufacturer warranty on fridge expired in August and it was August that my Fridge died again for the second time. Something fishy is going on here... how does a tech who been working with refrigerators for 10 plus years "overlook" and mis diagnose..... very...
Read moreUpdate: Well finally got in touch with a manager of the store not the rude assistant manager i spoke with first time. After going o over her head and complaining the manager handled the problem personally about getting the repairs made to the dryer. Ended up having to take it up on person but the manager was extremely nice he had someone make the repair as soon as I arrived which happened to be lunch. He apologized profusely for all the mixup and having to drive all the way up there he even sit an extra fuse just in case of happened again. (Which it hasn't thankfully!) I was very impressed by the manager. Very courteous and polite. The women on staff.... not so much the women ...they where all rude and hateful. They made no effort to even try to arrange something as far as helping me get the dryer repaired. If not for the manager I'd have reported to the BBB and ran them down on every review page I could find but the manager was a very honest, considerate man. So I'm giving the manager 4 stars but the women answering phones in the service dept wouldn't even get a star. If your miserable with your job then kick rocks and give it too someone who will appreciate it. For the reason I had to contend with them in giving it 2 stars because it's not likely I'd return just bc of those employees. They should be fired it make his business alot better!
Old post: I'm still not certain I'm having to take the dryer back I had less than 30 days before breaking down. After that I'll...
