If I could give you 0 stars, I would. We had a very negative experience there on July 16, 2022. We were being rung out by Janiese Moreno. She charged me extra for a 24 pack of water. I said it was 3.98. While they were checking the price, I told her I had one cilantro, one parsley, one radish and she started complaining under her breath, and she fixed it. Then when the associate came back to confirm the price and that I was right, I paid and walked out. Then she came out after me, saying that she didnt charge me for 8 pack sparkling water and that I hadnt put it on the conveyor belt. I told her that I DID put it. She said no again and that she didnt charge me. I said okay, lets go back and charge me for it. I followed her inside and she had a line. She was complaining about me to her customers and they all looked over at me giving me a dirty look while I was standing next to her waiting for item to be charged. I then checked my receipt and saw that she did in fact charge me. I told her that she charged me and showed her the receipt which she had her own copy of. I told her to call the manager up. Perry came over and I told him the whole story and that she embarrased me in front of an entire crowd. He apologised and said he would talk to her… Well sometimes sorry isn’t enough! I seriously was disgusted the moment I walked in when a terrible rancid smell hit me. However, there was an extremely friendly and welcoming man working in the produce section, that was the best thing about this store. He gets 5 stars. But the store needs help. When we got to the register, the young guy could not be any more slower. We thought it was a joke! But he was serious. Making sure not to so much as to even strain a muscle in his pinky finger as he slowly slid each and every bar code across the screen..moving so incredibly slow ...wow! Then, to top it off....when I got home to start dinner, that disgusting smell hit me again when I opened the meat package. I thought, Maybe it was just my nose or something. I washed the meat and began to cook it and my husband said," wow... what is that smell? It smells like the meat is bad!!" This place is wayyyyyyyyy tooo small!!!!! You are literally rubbing butts with people thee ENTIRE time!! On every aisle!! There is this mildew, avocado smell to the place and Its dirty. Its probably not dirty but the nasty stained tile and crusty crates make it just feel like the flea market or something. The people working here are like 12 and are not educated in food products. I ask someone a question about "real" butter and he looked at me as if I was dumb. I asked someone what aisle the seasoning in packages were and he told me aisle 3... WRONG!!! They are overstocked, over priced, and overly crowded. They have about 2 or 3 cashiers and you are again rubbing butts with the people in the next lane. The store isnt safe. It isnt personable. I normally go to winco in Modesto. Yes I make the drive ALLLLL the way to winco as a turlockian. Or I go to neighborhood Walmart. I just so happen to be downtown after church and decided to stop by there... definitely not a place I want...
