After Greg left, it's like he took all the air and light with him. The place is soulless, I'd rather see it on the ground than sold to a bunch of pretentious neck beards. I came into this place awhile back and had someone with me who was learning disabled and half blind so they couldn't read the passive aggressive sign about the Big Bang Theory on the door and was joking, trying to be friendly the way older people do and got his head bit off about the sign on the door and he absolutely ridiculed him over it. When I explained WHY he didn't see/ couldn't read the sign, no apology or even any remorse. I even got an eye roll! I've never seen someone treat a disabled person that way because of their disability and if someone told me this happened to them, I'm not sure I would even believe people like this exist. Not only did you lose a life time customer but I tell EVERYONE I have an opportunity to tell about my experience in this place. And I've NEVER left a business a...
Read moreThe folks here are genuine and rad. It's more than just a place to shop for your favorite reads—it's a goshdarn fixture. Inclusive and welcoming, they do a lot for the local community in so many ways.
Taking my kid here and watching their excitement for reading grow is the best. Hearing them talk about their favorite series and getting personal recommendations from staff who remember what they like is something special.

Read moreThe Comic Strip is an ideal comic book shop, which seem increasingly hard to come by. The owner and manager are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are also great for people just getting into the hobby--they aren't gatekeepers or snobs--as well as for people that have been in the hobby for years. Prices for vintage and keys are fair, even if the inventory isn't quite as large as you might find at a shop in a more metro area. Can't recommend this...
