Wow! I’ve had nothing to say but good things about Shoals Outdoor until today. It looks like that stops now unless there’s an amicable solution to this problem. I hardly ever leave reviews, but I feel compelled to leave this one. I’ve had a Polaris RZR 200 on order since mid September and have been very patient along the way. I’ve come to grips that the unit wouldn’t arrive by Christmas, until today. Today I was called by my salesman and informed they have one in stock that another customer backed out on and said it was mine if I wanted it. Of course I said I wanted it, so they put my name on the unit. Excited, I called and let my wife and kids know that we’d have one by Christmas after all. A few moments later Shoals Outdoor called back and I was informed that I’d have to pay an extra $400 for this unit ($6,299 vs. the original MSRP of $5,899) because they can’t honor $5,899 unless I wanted to continue waiting for mine to come in (it’s been on order for over 3 months and there’s still no end in sight). This is the exact same model that someone else ordered for $5,899 but backed out on. Shoals Outdoor tells me they’ve “lost pricing protection” on the unit because they can’t sell a unit that was registered under another customer’s order to me for the price we had agreed on. I understand that the MSRP has changed on these RZR 200s, but I ordered mine under the $5,899 MSRP and so did the customer that backed out on this one. This feels dishonest and I hate that. Such a shame I have to tell my kids that it’s not going to be here after all.
Edited to respond to owner: So you don't see the problem here? You offer to me an in-stock unit, one that I currently have on order, and then tell me that I have to pay more unless I want to keep waiting for my order to arrive for who knows how long. It seems like you could work something out with Polaris to move that unit to another customer that has been on order for several months. If there's no protocol in place for such a thing, there should be and you guys should bring that up to Polaris. I suspect this will not be the only time...
Read moreWe purchased a 2021 Sportsman 570 Premium for my wifes Christmas present. After asking the right questions, Mark Banks suggested the Premium. My wife (53 and 62 years old) absolutely loves her new 4wheeler. It has become her new mode of transportation here on the farm. Whether riding up to get the mail, checking out the property, or just a fun ride around the property, she loves it. When I started riding hers, I had to have one as well, so, I called Mark and ordered another 570 Premium. Im 74, and the power, the ease of operation, the size, the power steering, and comfortable ride sold us both. Mark was knowledgeable, he understood our wants, and he was extremely helpful throughout our purchase process. If we had questions, he was readily available with suggestions and/or answers that satisfied our needs. We are contemplating purchasing a Ranger for our farm, our current Kubota UTV at 12 yrs. old runs and works fine, we just want an upgrade. Mark will be our contact for that purchase as well. We are now committed to using your service department as well. Although it is a 2 1/2 hour drive to get there, the friendliness of your staff, the quality of workmanship, and fair pricing make it worthwhile. Our local dealerships, after finding out we purchased our 4wheelers from another dealer, told us it would be a 3 month wait time, for a simple oil change, and we would have to leave it for 3 months. We called Mark, he set up an appointment with your repair department, and we were in and out in an hour. Shoals Outdoors is now our go to place for our Polaris needs, purchases, parts and service. Its refreshing to know that there are still dealerships, like Shoals Outdoors, who believe in honesty, real customer service, and fair pricing policies. We applaud Shoals Outdoors for their business practices, their employees, especially Mark Banks, and their willingness to provide a customer experience that far exceeds...
Read moreOriginally reviewed with 5 stars to cover the sweet initial transaction. But that has quickly went downhill. We purchased a 2019 pre-owned sportsman 850. Pictures we seen to begin with showed an ATV in nice shape. Get there, tail lights busted, plastics broke in places - things we weren’t aware of beforehand. We looked past it. Within 2 weeks of having it, we had to take it back into the shop. The front differential was leaking, thank god for the warranty purchased because it was fixed. It took over a month, but was fixed. Had to take it back to tuscumbia for more repairs at the end of May. When you hit the throttle to take off, there’s a grinding noise SOMEWHERE. Evidently they located and fixed a broken/damaged coupler. Fixed the wheel bearings on both sides of rear (warranty didn’t cover) and replaced the rear prop shaft. Now I get it back after almost two whole months, and I take it on the first decent ride (more than from my front yard to the back and cutting it off), and it’s running hot. So I check the coolant, it’s got that. I started thinking, let it cool completely to check oil. And the picture shows what I got off it the first wipe before checking level. Next attempt was nothing at all. So I’m not sure what happened but evidently little to no oil was placed back into my engine after the repair. I had it stall on me once while riding further and should have known something was up. It never ran hot before it went to the shop, shot up to 214 by the time I got it back home to park it to investigate (typically never goes above 199 before it starts to fall down in temp). And the grinding noise wasn’t fixed either so who knows at this point.
For the price of this preowned, you’d think they’d atleast double check that all fluids are topped off before it’s picked up. Will send to Florence shop...
