I just wanted to share my experience with everyone. I must admit I was very disappointed, after I read so many negative reviews! Well, I am here to set the record straight! I was told via a previous phone conversation, that I would be receiving a settlement check for a class action lawsuit on 09/19/2020. On Monday, 09/21/2020 I called the office and couldn't get through. I finally learned when the recording comes on to ask you about the extension your party is at, YOU PRESS THE NUMBER 2 ! I finally was able to get through and speak to a live person. To make a long story short, I was told the checks were processed and going to be mailed out later that afternoon. A week later On Monday, 09/28/2020, I called back and was told my check was mailed out a week ago! I was a bit concerned, as I only live maybe 45 minutes to an hour drive away, depending on traffic. And still NO CHECK!!!! Then on Friday, 10/02/2020 I called back and spoke with an amazing woman named Evelyn! She was extremely helpful, compassionate, sympathetic and professional! She emailed me paperwork to request a reissue for a new check. I told her I would wait 1 more week and if I didn't receive my lawsuit refund check, I would fill out the reissue paperwork. Later, that afternoon I received a phone call from Sean and he was very helpful, compassionate, supportive and professional as well! He was willing to reissue my check, and because of the Covid craziness and slow mail with the USPS. He was willing to let me drive to the office and get my check! I told him I was going to wait until next Friday, 10/09/2020, and if my check wasn't in the mail, I would definitely drive to his office to get another reissued check. GREAT NEWS!!!! ON Tuesday, 10/06/2020 I received my lawsuit refund check in the mail! AND YES! THE CHECK WAS GOOD! I DEPOSITED THE CHECK INTO MY WELLS FARGO CHECKING ACCOUNT AND IT CLEARED NO PROBLEM!!! So, I just wanted to say Thankyou again to Evelyn and Sean, for how amazing you both were towards my personal experience! And for all of the negative reviews, please disregard them, as they are older and outdated information! The company was short staffed at the time, and didn't have any receptionist! Read moreAfter carefully reading all the negative reviews I took a comprehensive approach. Remember, ILYM group does not work for you. I had no issues with the check received. I deposited it and the transaction was clear within the allowable time between banks. Follow these simple steps and you will also have success. #1. called the office between 9 AM and 11:30 AM, write down any updates. Don’t call every day. I wrote down everything during every conversation like date, time and whom I spoke with. if you call after 12 noon forget it. You’re wasting your time. this is where they’re most busiest and they don’t answer the phone as much. calling between Tuesday and Thursday is where I got someone on the phone. #2; I moved to a different state. called between the times and days mentioned. and I was able to update my new address via phone but you can also do this online and to have peace of mind call to confirm they received. #3; I moved again, filled out the change of address through their website and also called to confirm, they verified that it was received. #4; I would follow up with their office between the days and time I mention and get an update on my case if I didn’t hear from them or If I didn’t get a letter on the day they told me that there was court date. write everything down, who you spoke with and when. #5; the check was finally mailed, but they only cut checks on Friday and takes about 5 to 7 days for you to receive it. Checks take a while if the mail didn’t get picked up on that Friday, and mailed on the following Monday. #6; upon receipt of my check it was deposited into my bank that same day (yes mam!) I asked the teller to freeze the check funds until CLEARED. DO NOT spend any of that money until it clears. I have read so many comments of people taking forever to cash the check or they take it to a cashier cashing place, which is dumb and because that is not a paycheck and they won’t be able to cash that check for you. I hope this information is helpful to the many of you that have such bad reviews for this company. My story was a successful one. I had no issues cashing my check with my bank. You just have to do it strategically and wait patiently don’t go out spending the money. Wait UNTIL IT CLEARS....
Read moreI recevied a letter from the states controller office, stating this buisness owes nme a check. They initially had the wrong address and stated I just needed to fill out the change of address and check reissue online, I filled both out on the same day I received the letter from the state (4/19/2024). I didn't receive a response. So naturally I called and have been calling ever since. I live 15 min from there office. It is now 5/1/2024 an I have yet to receive a check. I have called everyday and they have stated a check was mailed on 4/19/2024. According to USPS it should only take 3.5 buisness days. I have notes for every call, who I spoke to, date and time, including what was said. I will continue to call on a daily basis. I will update if I receive a check.
Update: Check was issued now sent out in the mail on 4/26/2024. I should receive the check tomorrow, according to there representative. She did say, that if my check WAS ACCTUALLY sent on 4/26/2024 then yes I should receive it tomorrow. I will update everyone tomorrow.
New Update: They have now stated that my check was actually sent out on the 29th of April. Randy stated that I at the mercy of the post office, that I need to wait until Friday 5/10/2024 to actually complain about not receiving a check. If I dont receive a check by 5/10/2024 then I will have to call and have them reissue via priority and at that time I will receive a tracking number.
