Thee Candle Lab & Perfume Bar — Local services in Tustin

I was taken to Thee Candle Lab in Tustin, CA for my birthday and had the BEST time! The process can take a while, from picking out scents from about 40 options to deciding on your candle vessel (so many beautiful options!), wick, wax color, glimmer and topping, plus the time it takes for the candle to "set" which is about 35-40 minutes...so allow yourself a good 2-3 hours for this activity (depending on how big your group is), but it is really a lot of fun, and at the end of it you have an AMAZINGLY beautiful candle that smells incredible. As you wait for your candle to "set," they have you pick a "brick" on one of the walls inside the shop and decorate it to commemorate your visit/experience, which is very cute. It's also fun to see all the bricks decorated by others!

I enjoyed the experience so much, that about 2 months later I brought my brother and his BFF and they really enjoyed making candles as well. The one thing I will say that with so many liquid scents sitting around for the candles, the aroma of the shop in general can be overwhelming and can actually give you a headache. The 2nd time I went to Thee Candle Shop, I popped a few ibuprofen ahead of time and wore a face mask (we all have some of those still around, right?), and I had no problem whatsoever. This was truly a unique, fun experience and I would totally keep doing it again and again! I plan on going back for a "refill" appointment as soon as my candles have been used up!...

Hope and Maria were absolute delights! They were nice, funny, and gave us lots of advice/tips/etc. You can tell they were having just as much fun as we were, which always makes any experience that much better!

We knew it would be fun, who doesn't love candles, but once we got there, we realized it was even gonna be better than we thought. We made reservations, but they also took walk ins while we were there. For the $55 pre-paid experience, you can pick one of their adorable candle "vessels" or upgrade for $10 more to one of their amazing alcohol bottles. All 4 of us couldn't resist how cute the bottles were... they had all sorts of brands, colors, etc. You can pay more to add more wax to your candle if you pick a bigger bottle, but none of us did and we still loved the outcome!

You get to pick your scents, color, glitters, toppers, and even pick between a wax and a wood wick.

I cannot emphasize how much we all loved this experience!! If you're looking for a fun thing to do for all ages, you cannot go wrong with Thee...

I freaking LOVE this place!! Amy & her staff (esp Hope, Bella & Cass) are SO FUN! Being there and hanging with them is 80% of the fun, but the fact I get to bring home a custom candle of my own making-personalized fragrance, color, wick-my fave is wooden-vessel is a lasting reminder of the fun I've had!! The process is so cool, and they facilitate each step of the way-all clean ingredients...And I often make new friends while at it! I LOVE this company & the owners-if they are having an event-it will guaranteed be worth the investment!! I couldn't resist-knew I needed this to be a regular part of my self-care & locked that in with a monthly...
