I bought a pot online from TJMaxx, and I noticed it was chipped. On the same day I opened the packge, I headed to this store for what I thought would be a simple return. I had everything: the receipt, return label, and even the entire FedEx box it came in.

When I showed my package and receipt, the customer service associate immediately said, "You're good. You can return it." But, of course, she had to check with her manager. The manager came in, not only refused the return but did so in a condescending manner. At first, she was trying to say the pot is perfect with no chipping, there’s no reason to return it. After I pointed out where the chipping is, she became determined to find any possible sign that the pot had been used. I even showed the adhesive price tag on the bottom of the pot, clearly showing not a drop of water had touched it. But she just kept repeating, "We don’t accept it."

So, after wasting half an hour driving back and forth on a lovely Saturday, I had the pleasure of paying an extra $10 to ship it back—despite the website clearly stating that online purchases can be returned in-store.

Looking at other reviews, it seems this “no returns allowed” policy is a store favorite. Perhaps my experience is actually a compliment to their impressive consistency in denying...

I had a very disappointing experience at this store today. I purchased a short set — top and bottom clearly marked as size M, same brand, same color, and tagged as “2 Pieces” for one price. I paid that price, thinking it was for the full set.

However, as I left the store, the alarm went off. When I returned, staff told me I only paid for the top and needed to pay more for the shorts — even though the tag clearly said 2 pieces. Their explanation? The top and bottom had been priced separately because they were once mismatched on the racks. That made no sense — they were clearly a set.

Under California law, stores must honor the price shown on the product. I felt blamed for their internal mistake and pressured to pay more — which is completely unfair.

I left the store feeling frustrated and humiliated. I’ve been a long-time TJ Maxx customer, but this experience has made me question if I’ll return. This is not how customers...

I love TJ Maxx stores all over the country, but this is hands down the worst store of all the ones I've been to. The staff is not helpful as they are always so busy. The wait time at the jewelry counter is 10+ minutes as they're only allowed to work with one customer at a time. Rather than tell you that and ask you to come back, they just ignore you.

The store is messy and just unpleasant to shop in, and it's so busy that your wait time to check out is always more than 10 minutes and always difficult to park. The skin and hair care section has almost everything open and tested. A photo is attached of the furniture section, which is indicative of what the rest of the store looks like.
