I've been meaning to drop by here for their Tuesday $11 burger specials. Finally got the chance last night and simply put, burgers are worth it. The rest isn't. We were given the option of table or bar. We opted for the bar since it was late and nobody was sitting at tables. We didn't want to inconvenience the staff to wait on us. Bartender immediately gave us menus and checked on us for our drink/food order. Beer menu is very generic. No local breweries. Literally everything supplied by Anheuser Busch (Budweiser. I know because I work in the grocery business). Cocktail menu looked interesting. We ordered the honey bourbon sour and a beer (Little Things IPA). Bartender immediately made the drinks and took our food order. We got the Chipotle BBQ burger and shrimp & grits. Honey Bourbon Sour - Pretty terrible. The whiskey they used left a terrible after taste and it almost tasted medicinal. I finished it only because I paid for it. 1.5/5 Little things IPA - decent IPA that's on tap. Can't really go wrong, but nothing special. 3/5 Chipotle BBQ Burger - Ordered medium and the cook was on point. Good amount of bbq sauce and the onion straws were crispy delicious. Ordered tots, but received fries. Disappointed, but didnt say anything. Fries were above average. 4.5/5 Shrimp & Grits - Grits were VERY cheesy which was good. Good amount of well seasoned shrimp (8 or 10 I believe), but not enough grits. The ratio was off. By the time we ate 4 shrimp, all the grits were gone. They needed to give 50% more grits, especially for the price ($29). I would even be okay to has 2 less shrimp if they gave more grits. Would be a 4 if they fixed the ratio. 3.5/5 Service was pretty bad. There were a total of 14 ppl at the bar (7 couples) with 3 bartenders. We had a hard time getting service after the initial orders were placed. Had to wave down a bartender to get a refill on water and again to pay our bill. Overall experience - 3.5 Expensive, but decent food and bad cocktail (based on the 1 I ordered). I'd only come on Tuesdays to take advantage of their...
Read moreThe burgers were okay, worth the price for the deal on Tuesday. However, food came out slow, my add ons were never delivered to me. My beer never came until after I finished my food and I had to wait for it. All in all a bad experience.
My gf and I had ordered two burgers and two drinks each. We both only got one drink and our food came at different times and mine was missing my egg. The food was kind of luke warm/cold, for something that should be fresh off the grill. Like the burgers were clearly waiting on fries to be finished before they served it to us, just sitting around.....
To get the deal, it was a super convoluted system of downloading an app which is a super broken and hastly designed app. At which point the waiter didn't even do anything with it just needed to see the icon on my phone....... We literally had to spend like 20 mins just to download this thing and set it up only find out it was just an email grabber. Oh and fun fact now I'm getting spammed and there is no unsubscribe link.... Go figures.....
The table next to us of 6, 4 more people than my table of two, came in 20 mins after us. They ordered and got their food before us, got dessert and drinks before I even had time to complain to the wait staff that my order was wrong and missing my egg. I was in a rush to make it to a movie showing, so I had to chug my late beer only to find that the table of 6 next to me was in the same movie showing.... got to eat, drink and comfortably make it on time to the theater.
Avoid this place..... Seriously..... I rather have gone to in n out, five guys, or even red Robin. Would have been cheaper and better service. Really disappointed.
Seriously this place is a waste of time.
$20 for two people....... That's on their discount day. And they couldn't even serve me a beer nor my girlfriend a minute maid lemonade..... Like the lemonade is from a soda fountain and they couldn't even do that. Take a cup and fill it with ice and just fill it........
Read moreThe rating is what brought us here. Oh how the ratings were off. How much are they paying Google and Yelp to lie?
We came here based on the reviews before our movie this evening.
The food reminds me of a Chili's. Oh how I miss that place. While I thought the food was okay "3 stars," I was a little appalled by the service. First, they sat us down next to the restrooms when the restaurant was half empty. We then asked to move.
Our waitress, by the name of “Vanessa C” seemed uninterested, not happy with her job. While she was eager to take our drink order, and kept asking if we wanted drinks and then she disappeared thereafter for 15 minutes. We ended up flagging another waitress down because we had a movie to catch and wanted to order food. The second waitress was so nice and took our order for her. We made some modifications to the order. "No sauce, avocado on the side, no salt on the fries" and I can see this waitress typing away into her machine and saying she will let our waitress know. Shortly after, I turned around and saw that waitress pass the order along to our first waitress. I saw a lot of disappointing exchanges like "eye rolling" almost like she was annoyed to take the order.
Won't be coming back. I'm surprised they have this rating on yelp. I looked at all the other Bar Louie locations and they are nowhere compared to this. It makes me wonder they must be buying their yelp reviews.
I would rather have Red Robin down the street. The food and fries are much better and the waitresses and staff seem happy working there
To management- please train your staff better. If they want to roll their eyes at customers, do it behind...
