Great youth group for kids 6-12th grade and dynamic youth pastor. Pastor Brooks preaches from the Bible and is passionate about how to equip believers to live the Christian life in a fallen world. There are plenty of life groups for adults to get involved in and everyone is friendly. Missions work is going on locally, nationally, and around the world with the church giving money directly and organizing groups to go serve. I have been to numerous churches over my lifetime. Not until hearing an amazing pastor's sermons that come deep from his heart and beliefs, that I felt the Lord in my heart! I was finally saved and Baptized 4 years ago at the age of 59. Pastor Brooks has the spirit of God in his heart and along with his sense of humor and incorporating stories of his family life into his sermons, helps me remember each and every sermon. I visited 1st Baptist Church of Umatilla for several months while I tried to help my sister after she lost her husband. It was a challenging time and 1st Baptist was always the favorite part of my week..
