Ordered 3 lunch entrees. Tasty but protein portion is small. There should be more lunch options. Regular menu on the pricey side. Restaurant is very clean and the owners are nice. I LOVE Indian food and having a restaurant nearby is great. A suggestion, small buffet like Shiva in Mt Dora maybe Friday and Saturday during lunch hour at a reasonable price. I would be there every week. UPDATE Went to the lunch buffet Saturday. The buffet was too small for 14.99. The entrees were very tasty but they should offer at least one more. The tandoori chicken was very dry and all bone. However, all the food was room temperature and there was almost nothing in the chafing dishes. When we pointed out the food was cold twice there was no attempt to rectify the situation. Rice was brought to the table in a very tiny dish for 2 people. They will bring more rice to the table but you have to wait for someones attention. Naan was very tasty and fresh. When I told the waitress the web site was inaccurate she snapped at me. I would love for this restaurant to succeed but they really need to put a little more effort into building a loyal following. More lunch special options would be one suggestion. The buffet should be as ample and hot at 130 as it was at 11 and replenished when empty. The website should be correct all the time. It is hard to navigate and contains inaccuracies. The buffet is open on Sunday but the website says the restaurant is closed on Sunday and there is no mention of the buffet whatsoever. The restaurant is low on ambiance but that would be OK if everything else was fantastic. I think a little more effort could make this restaurant great but right now there are too many small problems...
Read moreWhat a delicious dinner! We’re SO happy to have discovered this brand new restaurant—the food was fabulous. I really enjoyed the samosa chaat, although found it on the sweet side compared to a previous experience with this dish. Was it bathed in tamarind sauce? I’m not sure. The hub ordered the chicken tikka masala and thought it was phenomenal. I also ordered a saag paneer and really enjoyed it—not as puréed-green as most I’ve had, and quite tasty. A dessert mango pudding was lightly sweet and smooth—quite delicious. My one small complaint, really more of a disappointment, is that I made sure to request chutneys and the husband even asked for confirmation that they had been included when he picked up the food, but we only ended up with a single small container of mint and one of tamarind for the two of us. Chutneys make the meal, imo! Thanks again, folks—hope you’re a...
Read moreI used to hit up Mi Gordita Loca at their Orlando location, but now that they’ve consolidated to Umatilla — I still make the trip, and trust me, it’s more than worth it.
Their menudo? Straight comfort in a cup. Rich broth— perfect hangover cure or Sunday soul food. 🔥🥵
But the real MVP here is the breakfast burritos. These things are hearty, authentic, and stacked with flavor. Whether it’s: • Eggs with spicy chorizo 🌶️ • Savory breakfast sausage with melty cheese • Or the nopalitos (cactus stew-style) with eggs, beans, and salsa that tastes straight outta abuela’s kitchen…
It’s all made fresh, wrapped tight, and packed to satisfy. They don’t skimp on portions either — one burrito can hold you down all morning.
If you’re into real Mexican breakfast done right, this is the spot. Hidden gem vibes, but food that deserves...
