I was debating on making an appointment here after reading the reviews, but I encourage you to keep reading mine. They got me in to see the doctor within 10 minutes of arriving. Dr. Macri was very knowledgeable and the exam was quick and efficient. The prices are a little steep; however, worth it for the quality. Should I have any problems when I go to pick up my new lenses, I will update my review accordingly.
Update: I was seeing Dr. Macri for the past 2.5 years. I really like her; however, her staff is atrocious! They are super rude. I have called on different occasions and each time they treat me disposable. The last time I called, I asked them to quickly fax me a document I was waiting on. The entire day went by, no fax. Finally, I desperately called again and they were closed. Monday I got the fax after lunch, and it was illegible. I'm tired of being treated this way.
I called Friday to make an appointment and in the middle of picking a date I quickly had to hang up. I asked him if I could call right back and he said yes. I called minutes later and the office was closed for the weekend. I finally decided enough was enough and booked a new patient appointment somewhere else.
Those ladies really do give this office a bad impression. It's sad, because Dr. Macri is so kind. The problem is you don't deal with her -- you have to...
Read moreI have switched from being a patient of Dr. Macri to seeing Dr. Terravecchia. I switched due to rude treatment I'd received from an employee at the reception desk. Upon leaving one of my appointments with Dr. Macri I inadvertently forgot to get a paper signed to return to the transportation dept. at LCSS. At the time, I was going for chemo and radiation treatments, also, and had a lot on my mind. I called the next day to ask if one of the staff could fax something to LCSS stating I'd been there so I wouldn't have to make a 2nd trip. The person I spoke with said it was not her job to do that, she had more important things to do, and next time I should remember to get the paper signed. I apologized for taking up her time and hung up. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but I hope she doesn't encounter that type of treatment the next time she forgets something! I give Dr. Macri alone a 5 star rating, but the reception desk barely gets 2 stars! The receptionists at Dr. Terravecchia's office are extremely friendly and are never "too busy doing more important things" to help a patient in any...
Read moreI had to switch optometrists because of my insurance and I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone.
The prices are way too high and there isnât even a large variety. The lady that fits the glasses is especially so extremely rude and pushy. Overall Dr. Macri is great, but her staff is extremely unprofessional. My entire family and many friends that go here have had multiple problems with this place and the staff and I can assure you this is not somewhere you want to spend your money.
The same part keeps breaking on my glasses and instead of trying to fix it or sending it off to get fixed (which I obviously wouldâve paid for), they said my only option was to buy a whole new frame. Mind you, the one that keeps breaking were around $350, not including the $100 covered by insurance. The same part has broken twice in less than a year, yet every time I go in they are quick to point fingers and say I obviously did something to break them so they can avoid fixing them with...
