Drive thru pay window had asked us twice what order we had (I know you have 2 lanes for ordering, but other stores never have this issue), pick-up window had forgotten to give us napkins a few times and when they did, it was touching the ice cream in the cone. Ordered 2 cones inside once, and when they were ready, they were staring my wife and I right in the face, but the kids working there were to busy huddling around each other giggling at something on one of their phones, then dispersed after giggling, and never grabbed them to hand to us, and proceeded to take care of other customers. I had to ask after 4 minutes of looking at them, and the one girl said "Oh! Yes, they're yours" acting like "When did those get there?" when she knew damn well they were there.
Another time I ordered a heath blizzard, and there was BARELY any Heath candy in it, and mostly vanilla soft serve. Same night my wife ordered a brownie blizzard and specified she wanted it in chocolate soft serve, but put it in vanilla. Listening must not be part of the requirements these days to obtain employment.
The tables and floors in this location have food on them and under them, with straw wrappers, and hardened ice cream stains, yet the kids in there seem to have plenty of time to bullsh*t with each other in free moments between customers. Disgusting.
You can't build a new location in this city without the help being complete useless feces. I'm bitching on here in hopes that you'll do something to tighten this ship up, but, I'm pretty sure you'll be apathetic looking the other way because good, efficient help is extremely hard to come by in this generation, and only looking for bodies to run this wayward vessel as long as your bottom line is being met.
I'm never coming back to...
Read moreEach Dairy Queen is a franchise. I was talking to 1 of the managers here who said the owner goes by what the corporate DQ does. There seems to be some confusion. I have never worked for DQ but I do my research. I have an issue with 3 things that I have encountered:
An oreo blizzard gets 1, 2, 3, and 4 scoops respectively. This DQ apparently does not go by scoops? I received a medium blizzard with scoops from a mini. They do not use scoops but they do have a way to measure. If I wanted just ice cream in a cup I would have ordered it that way.
I ordered a 6 piece chicken strip basket with honey mustard as a sauce. I get 1 honey mustard. The manager said that they give 1 sauce for a 4 piece and 1 sauce for a 6 piece. Does this make sense? He was going to charge me for a 2nd one. As a manager he tells me he agrees it makes no sense. The issue I have is other DQs give 2 sauces with a 6 piece and no extra charge.
Some people that are working here do not have good customer service skills and that includes managers. I am not saying this because of the issues but overall because of the way things are handled. There is a difference between day and night shift people.
Conclusion: This DQ does NOT do what the corporate DQ suggests on many things. I suggest going to the DQ up the road in Ohio where you will get everything the way it should be. Gas to travel that far will not outweigh the issues but you can stop at a gas station on the way up there and get it for 2.86/gallon based on when I wrote this review. I hope this review gets to the owner and/or GM who will actually implement change...
