My sister and I came into The Vauxhall Home Depot on 9/27/25 because while taking my bed apart to move to another location in my house we ran into a dilemma. While trying to dismantle my bed, the way the headboard, footboard and side rails detatch was different from what I realized. So I needed a tool to take out the bolts. Two bolts did come out the bed easily but the other 6 would not loosen. So I brought one of the bolts with me to the store in hopes the associates could assist or direct me in how to fix my issue. While approaching the tool department we first came in contact with a man named Ken. He was an older gentleman eager to help. He approached us asking "how can I help you two". My sister and I jumped right in. Showed him my cell phone (because I came with pictures) and started to explain. All the while there was a younger gentleman there helping another customer but he seemed to be listening (at this point that was our assumption). Ken looked at the bolt. Studied the pictures and we got into a full conversation about the project. He then said "follow me". We followed and he began to figure out how to assist us. In the process we were then approached by an associate named Junior (much younger than Ken but just as eager to help). Junior smiled and dove right into the situation asking questions and giving suggestions. We caught him up to speed on what was going on and why we were there. Now Junior and Ken both went back and forth (it was obvious to my sister and I Ken and Junior are a great team the way they bounced ideas off one another, and you can tell they had a lot of respect for one another as well). Junior suggested specific tools, Ken got the bolt and tool and did a demonstration to assure the tool would work. At that point another associate Steven came along and while catching him up to speed he added his two cents. He was just as knowledgeable and helpful as Ken and Junior. My sister and I were very impressed and with the knowledge these three gentlemen had and how well they collaborated with each other to meet the need of the customer we knew we were going to walk out with what we needed to complete our project. Ken and Junior suggested an adjustable wrench (size specific for the project) and Ken said get a small can of WD-40. We thanked Junior and Steven for their assistance and while we thought to carry on to get the WD-40 Ken actually said to us "Come on I will take you to it". We felt like they had rolled out the red carpet for us. We followed Ken, got the WD-40 and decided to speak about a lighting issue we were having also. To our surprise Ken stated he use to work in that department and escorted us there to help out further. Unfortunately Home Depot did not have what we needed for our part two project but Ken did not let us leave without making another suggestion elsewhere as a possible way for us to solve that issue. We headed to the check out and was assisted by another friendly and professional associate cashier Tammie. We told her about our experience and wanted to speak directly with the stores manager but they were not available at that moment. She encouraged us to do a review of our experience and we stated "we sure will". She thanked us for our business and kind words and we left the store. Once home the tool suggested did solve issue and I will extend by saying I could not be more pleased with my experience at The Vauxhall Home Depot. All three gentleman were exceptionally professional, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a refreshing experience to see these men collaborate together and toss their thoughts and ideas around for our good. Junior clearly was the baby of the bunch but you can tell they all like what they do. And jokingly I called Junior Bob the Builder and he smiled and admitted he does like what he does and he likes to build things. I must say to the store manager Shervan (the name is on my receipt) you have a great group of men in your...
Read moreSaver yourself the time an hassle and go somewhere else to buy appliances. When buying the appliances , everyone is at your beck and call and ready to help you but after that you're basically on your own. I purchased three appliances at this location (dryer, washer, and dish washer). Waited two weeks for the delivery and instillation of theses appliances and could not be more disappointed. It was promised that all three machines would be installed on the same day just to be told the day before that only the washer and dryer would be installed that day and then the dishwasher would be installed the following day because of some sort of license that they were missing. I had to miss two days of work ! They only provide you with a three hour delivery window the day before the delivery or installation. The day of the installation for the washer and dryer came and they were not able to install because it was never told to us that a stocking kit was necessary for that type of dryer and washer. I called home depot and was told that they did not know that a stocking kit was necessary for us. the following day when the dishwasher was suppose to be installed, that also did not happen because the dishwasher came BROKEN. It had been most likely dropped and was all dented and missing one of the knobs for the settings. I once again called home depot and was told that WE should have opened the box before the delivery man left. As an employee that is supposed to be in charge of expensive appliances they should have checked if all appliances were undamaged instead of being in a rush to leave. I was also told that I had to repack the machines myself for them to be ready to just pickup. I told them that was not possible because if i removed the dishwasher from its spot, i would not have water in my sink until the next time that they would be able to come install again. I was told that i had to place the order for the stocking kit and then call back to have it installed. Bottom line is that it has been a month since I placed my order and I still have no appliances installed and still going back and forth with home depots customer service. So please save yourself the hassle and go...
Read moreThe poor customer review scores on here make total sense. I only stopped at this Home Depot because it was close to a Target where I ordered something online for pickup. All I needed were copies of keys for my new apartment and screws to hang curtains. I find the screws aisle and the first employee I see, before I even open my mouth, tells me they don't work in that department. OK thanks. She did offer to find someone after a minute or so of me struggling to find what I was looking for, but she couldn't find anyone after several minutes.
So I get my keys copied from the machine by the entrance. I made 2 copies of the same key -- ALL were brass and $2.98.
I went through self checkout and all 1 of the brass keys rang up at $3.98. The self checkout attendant called over the manager and she examined the keys and told me that the barcode on one is different, makes sense. It said it was a painted key, when it was clearly brass. I thought at this point she would override the charge but she insisted there was nothing she could do it was obviously correct (as if machines and the people who replenish the key supply of said machine can't make a mistake)?
I gently pushed back saying that doesn't make sense, they're clearly the same key but she was not budging so I went ahead and purchased the keys, but needed her to void a few since she had rescanned them to see what the issue was. She was so condescending when it came to removing the extra keys and acted like I created this massive inconvenience (trust me, ma'am, I didn't ask for this). She proceeded to shout to everyone in the self checkout area how this is her last day for 2 weeks as she's getting on a plane tomorrow and going on vacation. So clearly she was checked out and I was caught in the crossfire of her bad attitude.
I know we're only talking $1.00 here, but it's the principle of the thing. Good news is I took it to another Home Depot and they saw it was clearly an error and they rectified the situation.
Including a picture of the keys below...
