The Duck Room — Local services in University City

What a cool space! Reminds me of the shop in my hometown where we used to go to buy CDs, t-shirts, blacklight posters, incense, and yes they had a backroom for "water pipes."

There are in fact a bunch of ducks, from little wildlife figurines to comics.

The space has an intimate, indie vibe. We appreciated that there was a big cooler of water, though it ran out quickly and could have used a refill. The bartender was very kind and gave me the Wifi password.

Only three tiny tables--ours was set up around a support beam and was very rickety. We're not 20 anymore and need to sit down during a three-hour show. But it was a wonderful time and I'm thankful we did get a table and some hard little stools in the long run.

Nice, clean bathrooms with welcoming signs that were very meaningful on the day the emergency declaration affecting trans healthcare was pushed back five days. It felt like a safe space to be openly queer and trans, even without the signs, but they still...

My friend & I stopped by Blueberry Hill for lunch on a sunny Friday afternoon. Burgers & BeerExcellent; atmosphereYou'll never get bored! There's a working Pac Man game for one or two players, 2 Players! That's in a room away from main dining. Right by the photo boothThat was fun! There is Sooo Much Memorabilia, Collector's Items you'll enjoy. You must go and explore the many photos on all the walls of famous people who have been there. Oh, and make sure you try the food. The Duck Room, located in belly of Blueberry Hill restaurant is quite an amazing place. Not only for it's rabid use if duck decor, bit for the absolutely amazing musical artists that have graced to Duck Room stage. On my particular trip, I went to see a Nashville based band called "Waker". WOW, they were good. Right next door you can find the popular record store "Vintage Vinyl". If you are a person that appreciated great music, then visit the Duck Room and see who might me playing. Whoever it is, they won't be terrible. Not everyone can just show up and play that venue. Great times and great music.
